I purchased this book for my son who recently joined the Navy. The motto for the Navy is: 'Let the Journey Begin' - so I thought this was so appropriate for this time in his life. Since I have been reading many of Max's books lately, I knew I would love this one. I first read the book and in the margins I made comments of how I was feeling or I underlined certain sections. On the inside cover I wrote a short message to my son explaining to him that I experienced great comfort in these readings and I knew he would also. I also indicated to him that I deeply felt that he was in God's care with this 'new beginning' and that God would go before him and stay with him during this journey. I gave this book to him the day he left for Italy for a 2-year tour. I know when he reads this book during his tour that he will be surrounded not only by his mother's love (by the notes in the margins) but more importantly by God's love.
