Basic formulaic P.I. story with wise arse chick detective whose sarcastic quips use up more words than the storyline itself. Too easy reading with poor editing and proofreading. Kitt

Nice little book. Had a lot of trouble with the formatting. If you like cozy mysteries, try this one. About 193 pages.

I received this novel from a GoodReads giveaway, this in no way affects the content of my review. This novel follows Mimi Capurro, a former member of the Secret Service turned Private Investigator, as she investigates the murder of a bestselling author's personal assistant. There's only one problem though, her ex-boyfriend Nick is one of the police officers investigating the murder and he wants her to back off the case and let the police investigate. The investigation leads Mimi to a Vampire live role-playing game that is somehow connected with the murder, and it also leaves Mimi targeted by the murderer. Will Mimi break the case or will she be forced to leave it to the police? I would give this a 4 and here is my explanation why. The characters were well-developed, the plot was interesting and some of the twists definitely surprised me. I did enjoy the complicated relationship between Mimi and Nick, and I enjoyed that the background of their relationship was laid out in detail. The one thing that I felt did detract from the story were some minor typos. I feel like this was a great start to a series and I would be interested in reading more about Mimi.

I really enjoyed this book. It had humor, romance and a who- dunn it. In most books I read I know who the murderer is but I had no clue in this book. Very enjoyable read.

I never cared for samples they’re not in tire books I found them more aggravating.. and then when you do find something that you may be interested they are series of books.. instead of just one general novel.. as much as I enjoy reading hate most of all waiting for the author to publish the next book and you forget what was in the first book it’s just not worth the time for me but that’s just my personal Pinyan some people have time and money to blow on all these extra books. I don’t have the extra money. Living on the small income and dealing with a spouse was critical heart care care and other issues there’s just no extra money for buying extra series so would you please publish just novels and expensively and Have a real guitar books and audiobooks that are free not just samples of books and not just books that no one’s really interested in the Unknown Arthurs how about adding some the top name arthur’s.. there are not series of books..

Easy read. However, not believable. There is no way the bad guy would know what was going on with the investigation.
