Life Everlasting (Alexia Lindale Series #2) by Robert Whitlow

With her client's husband somewhere between this world and the next, attorney Alexia Lindale makes an everlasting choice.

The youngest son of a family consumed by greed, Baxter Richardson lingers on this earth in a coma. His wife wants him dead to protect her secrets. His brother wants him dead to gain control of the family empire. And though Baxter's father fights to keep him alive, even he has ulterior motives.

But Baster has a surprising ally. A classically trained painist, Ted Morgan believes music can be used as prayer. And Ted's divinely-inspired playing has been slowly pulling Baxter back from the brink of death.

Attorney Alexia Lindale represents Baxter's wife, Rena, but has no idea that she and her client are being played in a game that has higher stakes than a single legal case.

As Baxter grows stronger, the more endangered he becomes. As Alexia navigates her responsibilities to her client, her relationship with the gifted musician, and her new relationship with God, she must discern the truth as it pertains to life, death, and life everlasting.

Although I didn't get to read the first book, I must say that I found it rather interesting all on its own. There were times I felt a little confused, though, but the author did try his best to provide enough information from the first book to go along with, so I think it's all good. It would, however, still be better to read the first book before getting into this one if you do get the chance. Because although the story was amusing, it lacked a that level of depth and connection with the characters that may have been because I wasn't really there to witness how their lives unfolded and got all messed up in the first book. Alexia Lindale is a divorce lawyer who has just rekindled a connection with God through the help of Ted Morgan, her minister friend. Together, they thought of using music therapy to help Baxter Richardson, the supposedly rich guy who had just woken out from a coma, recover from the injuries he sustained from falling off a cliff. The story did good in incorporating mystery with other themes like romance and spiritual truths. But there were certain points when I felt like the story was just dragging and s-l-o-w. Then the conclusion felt a little rushed, and, well, too-fantastical to really be satisfying. But it had been an interesting ride, nevertheless. I think I'll look forward to more books from this author. I got a free copy of this book to review from booksneeze...

This two book series renewed my faith in good writing. There is no need for vulgar language, explicit sex or grotesque violence. This story is captivating, thought provoking and entertaining. If you want to enjoy a couple of page turners, read this and the first book of this Whitlow series, Life Support; you won't regret it, guaranteed!

I like mysteries and whodunnit types of books. This book held my interest combining murder, romance, and a bit of humor, all within the context of the Christian faith. Alexia Lindale is a successful attorney who takes on a case that turns out to be more than she can handle. She finds friendship, which turns out to be more than friendship, with a music minister Ted Morgan who shows her the way to God. The book is a page-turner, and I was anxious to solve the intricate mystery that was cleverly woven. But the ending fell a bit flat. While all the pieces fitted together in the ending, it was done abruptly. I wished a little more was explained in the ending. Still, I would recommend this book with a good plot, likable characters, and some Christian inspiration. Disclosure: Thomas Nelson provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for this review. Opinions are entirely my own.

Hi guys! I just got a new book from booksneeze- "Life Everlasting" by Robert Whitlow. But before I get started, I have to tell you all that I received this book for free from Thomas Nelson through the booksneeze program, and I am under no legal obligation to give this book a positive review. So whatever I say is how I legitimately feel about the book ? Now, anyway, the book I was talking about. "Life Everlasting" by Robert Whitlow was a good read. I enjoyed it. One man sleeps in between life and death- suspended in a coma. His wife and brother want him dead. The rest of his family wants him alive, as well as a man named Ted Morgan, who happens to be a pianist. (I am too, so I loved that! ?) But as the man's wife's attorney begins making their case, she has no idea that she is playing in a game that is far more serious than a trivial legal case. As the man begins gaining strength, his life is even more jeopardized. What will happen? You need to read the book to find out ? I really liked this book. I give it four out of five stars ?

This is the Book Two of an Alexia Lindale novel. In Book One, Alexia, a divorce lawyer hired by Baxter Richardson's wife(Rena) to help her with her case. She doesn't want a divorce but she wants to have her husband, Baxter, who is in a coma to be taken out from life support. For this second instalment, Baxter was called back to this world by the enchanting music played by Ted Morgan. Meantime the mental state of Rena deteriorated. This is a fine continuation of "Life Support". I like the mysterious way that Baxter being called back and "romance" seems to blossoming for Alexia. Every characters in this book seems to be govern by a higher power. Maybe God is working through the author to send a message to us? It's not everyday that I find a book that have suspense and yet promote the believe in the Lord. One thing that I find rather this book is a bit long winded. Some reduction of 50 to 100 pages would make the book more enjoyable to read. Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through theBookSneeze book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. This sequel to Life Support was excellent. It was fast-paced, and therefore never got boring. I would recommend these two books to anyone looking for easy suspenseful reading. I'm just wondering now if there will be a book 3?

As I have learned after reading four Robert Whitlow books, it is difficult to begin reading them without becoming totally immersed, for hours, in the characters, legal drama, intrigue, spirituality, and sheer beauty inherent to Whitlow's writing and plots. It is also difficult to review Life Support and Life Everlasting separately, for one cannot be read without the other. Both books of 'The Santee Series' ruined many nights' sleep in the past week as I lay in bed incapable of putting them down, but for that, I am glad. 'The Santee Series' is the story of a young female attorney representing a tortured, mentally unstable, evil woman. It is the story of a man who miraculously survives a murder attempt when pushed off a cliff/waterfall and lies in a coma fighting for his very life. It is the story of a man of God, a musical minister with piano skills nothing short of heavenly, determined to use his gift, along with the help of a Christian native-American nurse and her singing, for healing purposes, against all odds. It is a story of faith, prayer, good, worship, and hope battling forces of evil, manipulation, greed, and deceit. Oh, yes, it is also the story of a long deceased elderly Ohion grandmother and her prayers on behalf of a beloved granddaughter, our heroine Alex Lindale.
