Logic Puzzles 1 is a fun an engaging way to learn and practice mental arithmetic skills. Each logic puzzle comprises 5 sums with the resulting numbers already indicated. Two sums read vertically (left to right), two read horizontally (top to bottom) and one reads diagonally (top left to bottom right). You have to work out which 4 numbers go into the 4 squares such that all 5 sums read correctly. There is only a single solution that resolves all 5 sums.
There are 4 logic puzzles on each page. On the first page, some numbers are already provided, to help illustrate how it works. The logic puzzles on the first 10 pages feature only addition horizontal & vertical sums. The diagonal subtraction sum ensures only a single unique solution. Thereafter, there is a mixture of addition & subtraction sums in all directions. On page 69, the are 4 logic puzzles from the second book in this series, which feature multiplication & division sums.
After every 10 pages of Logic Puzzles, there are a couple of different puzzles and games to make completing the book more interesting.
