Caught between his divorced parents and friendless except for Saffron, the girl he pines over, LeRoy Jupiter Jenkins resigns his victories to the videos on his retrogaming YouTube channel. But when he stumbles across a game cartridge that shouldn't exist, Saffron drags him on a road trip across the country to solve the mystery of its existence.
