If you think this is just another short and sweet rundown of basic weight loss tips and information, think again. It gave me some new things to think about. There are several good sections in here. One talks with how to make the most caloric foods everybody loves (pizza, hamburgers), and give them a low-cal twist. You don't need an expensive cookbook, fancy organic foods, or a degree from the Culinary Institute of America to cook delicious, low-cal food. There's also an explanation of three grains that have been around for eons, but to hear the Food Network, you'd think we're just discovered yesterday (quinoa, farro, and millet). Williams also breaks down a few other basic ways to diet, exercise, and trim pounds. Weight loss will never be easy, but it doesn't have to be expensive or time-consuming, either.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. This was a very short and quick read. Although the pages are few there is a lot of information. Would recommend this for people who don't want to follow fad diets.

Rather, Mary Williams provides a smart, insightful, highly helpful guide on how to lose weight that shows you a diet and weight loss plan that makes it possible to use food, your body and your lifestyle to lose weight and keep it off. This is a book that offers experienced instruction while exploring the world of weight loss and how to success in a healthy and long lasting way.  The book is straightforward, practical, well-written and thorough. The author doesn't beat around the bush or pad the book with useless fluff... it is a serious guide for people who are dedicated to losing weight in a healthy, natural and easy way. Overall, the book offered a great deal of words of wisdom as well as tips, advice and strategies on how to lose weight. It was well worth the read.

I have a few of questions.... • What if we are too busy to exercise , like if you have a full time job? • What if we wanted to do this diet and we were still in school? [Not college, but middle schoolers] ? • And last but not least what if the diet just isn't working for us , what woukd we do? If you woukd like to lose weight in a fast and easy way just look up the book: 10 day smoothie cleanse, by J.J Simpson. I used that book before this one and I think ( personally) that the green smoothie clense works better than this book. I tells you what to buy for the first five days and then for the next five days. You don't even have to exercise but you do get to choose if you want to drink one smoothie a day and two meals, two smoothies a day and one meal or you coukd do the most difficult one which is doung three smoithies a day and no meals. Throughout all of these choices you can have snacks but not sweet snacks like honey buns and chips, you can have trail mix or almonds or fruit or vegetables. In the first week I lost ten pounds and by the time I was on my tenth week I lost one hundred pounds. It is a really good book. I used to weigh 230 pounds but now I weigh 100 it is a really inspirational book and it will really help yiu lose weight an it is easy and simple you just need to follow the books steps and you will achieve your goal.

This is not like other diet books. Rather, it gives some basic information that doesn't overwhelm you with facts and numbers or opinions of doctors/researchers. It's a good place to start, and once you've gotten on track, you can look for other sources of information. I was not too keen about having eating seaweed because I don't like sushi, but I guess it might nit be a bad idea to try it.
