About the Author

Charlie A. Webb, CMC Charlie Webb is a true polymath. He is involved in every aspect of the medical packaging company he founded nearly 20 years ago. From the development and engineering of the complex machinery to the total design of the company’s award winning website, every detail shows evidence of Webb’s talented hand.

Starting his career as a broadcast journalist, Webb quickly became an authoritative voice in Southern California. After graduating from college with a degree in business administration and management from the University of Redlands, Webb left broadcasting to pursue a career in medical device development. He then continued his studies at the Andersen School of Management at UCLA in medical marketing. He began working with Micro Dynamics, an innovative surgical instrument firm in the emerging science of refractive surgery, and during this time became a key member of the firm’s scientific review board as a device technologist and marketing expert.

Webb holds two U.S. patents for sterile medical device packaging machinery that have changed the direction of the sterile packaging industry. Webb is a skill writer with stunning insight into issues that can also fall well outside of the business arena. He is also a certified management consultant specializing in market expansion for troubled firms.

Webb is a skilled musician and plays drums in a rock band. He is also an avid sailor and hiker. He has three children, loves the outdoors and lives in the mountains in Southern California with his wife Lisa.
