Overview

Lost to You by A.L. Jackson

People come into our lives. Some stay, and many go. Some build us up, while most tear us down. They become our friends, our enemies, our lovers, our tormentors.

Christian Davison came into mine, and I knew I'd never be the same.

To Elizabeth Ayers, New York City had always been a dream. She's worked her entire young life to make it here.

Groomed to one day take over his father's law firm, attending Columbia University was Christian Davison's only option.

Neither wanted anything more until they sat across from each other at a café table after being paired as study partners.

Christian wants her, but Elizabeth knows better than to give into their intense attraction. Yet there is little she can do to stay away . . .

I loved this book. I was so caught up with the shere emotions of the main characters. Intense and gripping of a love so strong. I recommend reading this book before reading (Take this Regret). It has been said that it is not necessary to do so, which it true. But to truly get involved in the depth of Christain & Elizabeth's relationship it's is so worth doing so.

I absolutely loved this novella. And...I cheated a little. I read this one before I read Take This Regret, but I'm glad I did it that way. I felt like I had a better connection to the characters and I think it helped me like Christian more. I'm not sure I would have fallen as in love with him had I read TTR first. I loved seeing how their relationship developed and how it fell apart. Definitely a must read with this series.

Lost to You by A.L. Jackson is a terrific HEA read.  Don't let the size fool you, it packs a pretty solid punch.  I adore Elizabeth and Christian and love how their differences brought them together, and held them together.  There is so much emotion and such a strong story line in just 166 pages.  Lost to You never misses a beat.  Perfect!

This book is about two 18 yr old kids just in college, so if u r looking for an adult romance this is not it.

I found it hard to finish this book - nothing happens! Christian is longing for Elizabeth, Elizabeth is longing for Christian - then repeat. The characters were completely under developed and I felt like I knew nothing about them other than that they want each other and go to college. I'll have to check out the other book, but this one just fell flat.

The book was okay overall but the ending is a cliff hanger and this is part of a series. For some reason this book is not listed as part of the series online. “Take This Regret” is listed as the first book online but is technically the second in the series. So don’t read this unless you want to read the complete series. And don’t read “Take This Regret” until reading this one. It is not a stand alone and this book will be ruined for you if you read the “second” one first. Also, the second book is not free on here but it only cost $3.99. Overall, I’d only read the second book because of the huge cliffhanger.

A little slow. I don't care that it is a semi cliffhanger. I won't read the next book. I just couldn't get invested. I mean it was good but it was just a read not an experience.

Finding the person that makes your heart skip with each word they utter is a gift all on its own. For Christian and Elizabeth – a simple class assignment will lead them into a friendship that neither could have imagined. Christian is the guy that seems to have it all. A future all planned out by his parents, the ability to live the way he chooses, and the assuredness that comes from a life of privilege. Elizabeth is everything that Christian is NOT. From her desire to move to a city that plagued her dreams, to the sweetness that Elizabeth exuded with each smile on her face….nothing about Elizabeth was like the type of person that Christian typically found himself in the company of. As the two continued to engage as study partners, Elizabeth and Christian were finding the lines of their friendship strained. Their attraction was growing by the day, but neither wanted to risking losing the bonds that they had formed. When the attraction becomes too much, where will their friendship land? Can the two find a way to remain friends and delve into the affection that is so prominent in their relationship? Lost to You is the prequel to the Regret Series by A.L. Jackson. It is an emotional journey between Christian and Elizabeth that will definitely lead you on a romantic road to finding one’s soul mate. It is a road riddled with friendship, romance, and epic heartbreak. After all, don’t we all remember that college romance that exists in our own past? Jackson will pull you into Christian and Elizabeth’s life while creating a world of ‘opposites’ for the two characters. Personally – I was pulled into this story from start to finish. Never wanting to put my reader down!! It is an emotional journey that will shed light on just how these two characters find themselves on the paths that their lives have directed them upon. Discover where Christian and Elizabeth’s journey began……you can thank me later!!

Lost in You is the story of Christian and Elizabeth. They met when they are paired as study partners freshman year at Columbia University. For Christian its lust at first sight. All Elizabeth sees is a cocky rich hot guy that rings all her warning bells. Elizabeth is a challenge to Christian when she doesn’t fall all over him like all the other girls in his life. What Christian doesn’t realize is that she is exactly the kind of woman he needs. Christian and Elizabeth come from completely different backgrounds. Elizabeth is a shy, sweet family girl from San Diego. She was raised by her mother after her father leaves her and her sisters. Money has always been tight for their little family but they always made it work and supported each other in everything they did. Christian is from a rich, elitist family from Virginia. Christian’s father is domineering and just plain horrible and his mother is a society woman that has no time for her son. I have to admit this book started really slow for me. I realize that this is the first in a series but the angst just wasn’t there for me. What did save me for this book was Elizabeth. She knew who she was and where she wanted to go. She wasn’t going to sacrifice any of her hard work for a pretty face. So many characters get so caught up in their man that they lose themselves. By staying true to herself Elizabeth was able to develop a strong bond of friendship that turned into a deep love with Christian. Ms Jackson in my opinion did a good job setting up the background for this series. Albeit a little slow at times LiY did hook me enough into wanting to see how this story arc continues in Take This Regret.

when I read the sample of this book.. I was completely invested. getting this book was a no brainer... the characters in this story, Christian and Elizabeth are both incredible characters. while reading this book I felt as tho I knew them and was apart of their lives, which is sometimes not always possible to feel that way(in my opinion). so while reading this first book to this incredible series I felt as tho I was involved with their growth as a couple and was there when it all started to fall into place... Christian knew that he was feeling something for elizabeth but knew she was different and was afraid to address those feelings... and when it came time to stand up for this incredible woman, it all clicked into place... this story def leaves you with omg what's about to happen... Def encourage you to read this beautiful story... you will not be disappointed.

This prequel to the Take This Regret series is about how Christian and Elizabeth first met and how their relationship developed before the events that take place in the first novel. This short little beginning to the series isn't as poetic or in-depth as most of A.L. Jackson's novels, but it does let you meet the young couple before life changed them a bit more and the huge 'regret' becomes the basis for the entire series. It's a cute story where you like and respect both Christian and Elizabeth and while it isn't necessary for the series, I liked it. A nice, easy, enjoyable read, but without anything notable about it.

Absolutely loved getting to know how these characters met! I read TTR first, so reading this made me fall in love with the characters all over again,  before finally re-reading TTR, and ending with WFC. Love this series! One of my all-time faves!

I would have to say that this book is just ok. I don't regret reading it, but I wouldn't reread it. I just couldn't connect to the characters or the story.
