Maggie by Mya O’Malley is the first book in her new trilogy and what a fantastic kick off. Naomi is a writer that attempts to stay open to everything around her, and looks at everything with her writer’s eye, full of curiousity and creativity. Meeting Ryan, she is immediately swept up in him. He is handsome, full of charisma and the perfect boyfriend. But then there is Bryce, the single dad who wants to help her grow and protect her any way that she might need. Nothing like confusing a girl’s love life with two perfect males. And there is no forgetting Maggie. Maggie’s life is a mystery, one that she is begging Naomi to solve. When Maggie begins to invade Naomi’s dreams and her house, Naomi’s life will turn upside down. The ensuing story is full of emotion, romance, suspense and even some funy parts. Watching Naomi lean into Maggie, finding her way through the days leading up to Maggie’s death and finding her own way in her life the story is both uplifting and emotional all wrapped up into one. O’Malley is a new to me author, and I am so happy that I took a chance on this book. The storyline, characters and writing style that she gives to her readers keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. The way that she wove the story of Maggie and Naomi together made for such a great read that I just couldn’t put it down. If you are looking for an amazing author with a fantastic voice than this is one that you need to add to your collection today!

Maggie by Mya O’Malley is a book about a ghost as well as some romance and thrills! Naomi has a cemetery in her backyard and while it would bother most people she doesn’t mind it. A spirit starts kind of reeking havoc on her house so she decides to investigate along with her friend Ryan. She meets her also cute single dad neighbor as well and is torn between the two. Over all i think this book was fun. And I enjoyed it a lot. I love that I was kept guessing. I think the author did a great job and would definitely read others by her. 4 star rating!

Maggie by Mya O'Malley is amazingly well written. I absolutely love ghost stories and this one has everything i could ask for. Naomi is a writer and living next to a cemetery gives her lots of writing material. Especially when Maggie starts visiting not only Naomi's home, but dreams as well. So the mystery of Maggie begins. If that wasn't enough, throw in two new love interests and an ex-boyfriend and you have a book you can't put down. This book grabs you from the first page and keeps you wrapped up the whole way through. I ran through every emotion in this book. The way Mya has written the characters made this story so dimensional and I loved every one. This is a great read by an author New to me. I can't wait to read more by this author.

Maggie by Mya O’Malley is an eerie romance, mystery that will have you glued to the edge of your seat. The novel follows Naomi and her new found ability to speak to the dead, that haunt the cemetery right outside her door. Not only is the ghost Maggie, haunting her, but also trying to seek justice and closure for her murder. Throughout the book there was a continuous eerie tone, that kept me up all night reading and loving the suspense that it built. As well as becoming more and more untrusting of every guy that suddenly came into Naomi’s life. I did have some issues with Naomi’s self-doubt and the victim blaming she did on herself. No one should feel guilty after going through such an ordeal. Still I really enjoyed the mystery and all secrets unravelling. Fair trigger warning for this book, as it includes domestic violence scenes that may be upsetting for readers. Overall I gave Maggie 5/5 stars as I really loved the whole tone of the book.

Maggie (Maggie Trilogy #1) by Mya O'Malley was a surprisingly fun and very entertaining, thrilling read. My first read by this author I went in with a open mind and ready to read a gritty tale of trying to coexist with a ghost. This was much more then that. It's a tale of finding the truth, opening up and believing that not everything is what it seems. This book at times had me on the edge of my seat, and at times held my heart in a vice. Beautifully written I could not put this book down. What I loved the most about this story, is that wasn't solely focused on Naomi's love life. The plot was about Maggie, and trying to find her truth. In doing so, life happened, Naomi finds friendship, and love. But, the friendship for me out shined the lover, because it was a very solid friendship that really made this book something special. Why? because it was done in a way to destroy the love triangle trope. It was the highlight of this book, outside of the amazing plot and mystery. I'm not going to say anymore about the story, as I don't want to spoil it. So I'm going to leave you with my super high recommendation that you will not only love this book, and its characters, but you will fall in love with this authors writing and the ability to suck you in, jump start your emotions and have you holding your breath, all within a few chapters. I can't wait to see what's in-store in the next book! Happy Reading -E.A. Walsh

Reviewed by Liz Konkel for Readers' Favorite Maggie by Mya O'Malley is a thrilling mystery. Naomi is living a writer's dream in a 1700's house on the edge of the cemetery. She can't wait to research and explore the history of the spirits buried there. When her cat leads her to the grave of Maggie, she's compelled to solve the mysterious circumstances of her death. Making her life more complicated, Naomi finds herself torn between Ryan, the seemingly perfect man she met during an awful blind date, and Bryce, a charming single father that just moved in next door. The more she discovers answers, the more she finds herself at the center of history repeating itself. Can she solve the mystery of Maggie's death before she's the next victim? Naomi is charming and driven, embracing her role in solving this death with a genuine need for answers. The past plays an important part of Naomi's journey as it slowly repeats in a supernatural way, but allows for her to learn how to find closure. The dreams are beautiful and tragic, woven into the plot just when a clue is needed most. The other characters are a delightful mix of eerie and heartfelt so it's hard to tell who to believe until the end when the truth is finally discovered. Mya O'Malley keeps you guessing until the very end, successfully leading the mystery astray, only to reveal an impressive twist that pulls everything into place. It's heartbreaking and unexpected, but worked so well that there couldn't have been another solution. Maggie is suspenseful, eerie, and mysterious, with the right amount of ominous foreshadowing and sleuthing.

I read my first book, by Mya, last year, and was extremely impressed. I knew, as soon as I read the blurb, that this book was going to be just as good. She has a way with writing exciting, ghostly reads that just pull you in and won't let go. This books is sprinkled with a bit of romance, but it is focused on the life of Naomi, the main character, and Maggie's demise. I liked this, as it was exciting to get to know Maggie and the haunted, cemetery house, as well as learning about Naomi and her writing. Her investigative mind and honesty really help bring out the best in people and the truth in Maggie. The relationship parts were fun as well. This was mostly due to them being very realistic. There was a hopefully relationship, which turned out to be purely friendship, but on the highest level possible, a hot new relationship and a failed blind date. All of this was dealt with by Naomi, and she gained another 'detective' in her new best mate. I felt that the characters were all created well. They made a very well-rounded world, and were full of great personality. I especially loved the keen nature of Ryan. He reminds me of how my hubby and I act when we spot something we love and just have to have a look. The pace was done well and really made the book flow well. It wasn't a fast or slow pace, but one that just seemed to move along well with the deal of the book. It was always at a level that kept things interesting and truly kept me hooked. I highly highly recommend this book! **I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
