This is a great book about acceptance. Love the rhyme and the illustrations are bright and uncluttered, perfectly enhancing the story, bringing the characters to life. Parents and children alike can learn from the lesson taught in this book---that a true friend looks beyond what someone looks like on the outside, focusing on the inside of the person instead. This book not only teaches that lesson, but also tells children that there is hope that a bad situation will not stay that way. I highly recommend this book.
