About the Author

Jenny Holiday is a USA Today bestselling author who started writing at age nine when her awesome fourth-grade teacher gave her a notebook and told her to start writing some stories. That first batch featured mass murderers on the loose, alien invasions, and hauntings. (Looking back, she's amazed no one sent her to a shrink.) She's been writing ever since. After a detour to get a PhD in geography, she worked as a professional writer, producing everything from speeches to magazine articles. Later, her tastes having evolved from alien invasions to happily-ever-afters, she tried her hand at romance. She lives in London, Ontario, with her family.

I am in love with Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series and Merrily Ever After is no exception. I loved the novella looks at Elise and Jay and them figuring out how to be married and weather storms. Their HEA is perfect, even if they needed a redo. If you need a quick holiday break, pick up this novella and enjoy the snow. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novella.

This is the first Jenny Holiday book I've read but it certainly won't be the last. Merrily Ever After is a wonderful mix of witty writing, likeable characters, sass, humor and just the right amount of of steamy romance. Thanks to Jenny and NetGalley for a delightful read.

I have not read anything but this author before and I am so ready to go and read the other books in this series. I love the friendship these four women have, its close but its also "family". They are there no matter what happens, and I love how the author had these girls and there crazy antics throughout this book. I really enjoyed reading this quick read and how even though Elisa and Jay are already married they are faced with something that she feels could destroy their relationship and how its not always perfect. This book does have a lot of adult language and situations throughout so it that's not your thing be forewarned, otherwise this is perfect to cuddle up with a drink and fire and read. I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to post a review and have given my honest opinion

Heart-warming addition to a wonderful series! I didn't think anything could make me love this series more, but sure enough, through an unlikely pregnancy in the mix, and I'm sold! I love how the couple goes through the typical reactions to finding out they're expecting, especially after being told it wasn't possible. Definitely the perfect miracle for this holiday season, and a must-read!

Merrily Ever After, book 2.5 in author Jenny Holiday's Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series, is a both a fun and passionate read. The two main characters, interior designer Elise Maxwell, and accountant Jay Smith, are lustfully married. They are happy and successful workaholics, running their own respective businesses. Having a baby was never in their future, yet the pregnancy test proves otherwise. Elise believes this is a Christmas miracle, however, Jay is not as excited. Luckily, the holiday season, good friends, and a bit of snow, make this the merriest Christmas ever. This is a nicely-written novella. The chemistry and impenetrable love between Elise and Jay is heartfelt, in addition to being seductive and playful. Elise and Jay are realistic characters and I was able to connect with them both as individuals and as a couple. Elise's girlfriends are amazingly genuine, and their loyalty and friendship is inspiring. If you are looking for a slightly emotional holiday read with a bit of steam, then Merrily Ever After is for you! This novella may be enjoyed as a standalone. Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series so I was really excited to see we were getting a novella about Elise and Jay. I’d recommend you read the first two books so you get maximum enjoyment out of this story. The reason this series is so great is the group of friends at its center. Elise, Jane, Wendy, and Gia are best friends and each woman gets her chance to shine in her own book so it’s only fair that former bridezilla Elise take a turn. Due to severe endometriosis, Elise believed she wouldn’t be able to get pregnant, which made her the perfect woman for Jay who doesn’t want kids because he had a terrible father. So what happens when Elise gets pregnant after all and realizes she does want kids? We go on quite the journey with these two, with Elise realizing the impossible has happened and admitting she secretly did want to have a child, even though it was never supposed to be a possibility. And that’s before she realizes she has to tell Jay words he never wanted to hear. His response was hard to watch but understandable at the same time and that’s where the story really soared. Jay and Elise have to decide what really matters and what they’re willing to do in the process. Of course, their friends are there to support them and I loved watching them in action. Elise’s yearning for snow and who Jay is with Elise compared to who is with others also told me a lot about these characters and what formed them. There were so many special touches, like dirty Scrabble and the LEGO kit, that showed how good Jay and Elise are together and for each other. Plus, Jay’s grand gesture at the end was everything! This is a really great story but I had one personal disappointment. While I appreciate the strength of the conflict Holiday presented, I do wish Elise and Jay had remained child-free, simply because there are not many romances where being child-free is presented as a valid option. Yes, Elise had a condition which, until now, prevented pregnancy but she and Jay began their relationship knowing they wouldn't have kids and they were both fine with this. Of course, feelings can change and I absolutely understood where Elise was coming from. I just wish more romance authors overall didn't equate pregnancy and progeny with a couple's happily ever after. Disclosure: I received an advanced copy from Forever in exchange for an honest review.

This is a delightful holiday tale about Elise and Jay, a happily married couple that is madly in love....until an unexpected pregnancy throws a wrench into their relationship. , While they're both struggling to deal with their feelings about the pregnancy, neither is sure what it means for their marriage. This book is a warm and thoughtful Christmas story that will tug on your heartstrings. I read this is one sitting and found myself engrossed in Elise and Jay's story. If you enjoy the genre, this is a must read

**I received an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review** I loved reading Jay and Elise's story in Once Upon A Bride, so I was excited to know that we were getting a novella for them as well. So far marriage has been everything that Jay and Elise have ever wanted. It's been pure bliss and they are madly in love. A wrench is thrown into their well laid plans when Elise discovers that she is pregnant. Not only did she think it was medically impossible for her to get pregnant, Jay has always made it perfectly clear he did not want to be a father. When Elise breaks the news to Jay, she's hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Will these two be able to work through this large bump in the road or will it end the paradise they have been enjoying? I really enjoyed how Jenny Holiday laid out this novella and while it was pretty angsty, I loved it. I enjoyed watching this couple confront their fears and work through their issues together. There was a bit of everything in this book and there were definitely swoonworthy moments! Can't wait for the next book in this series when it comes out next year!
