My review from inkwellreviews.com (Christian book review site) After I read Vendetta I was really excited for Missing to come out. Especially after I saw the cover…...Amazing!! I know, I know “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Anyway, I was curious as to how Lisa Harris was going to pull the trilogy off, and if she was going to do it well. As far as storyline goes, I was kind of let down. I feel like if I read the first book, then the third book that’s coming out next year, I would not have missed anything. Let me put it another way. The first book had no correlation to the second, except for the same characters. It’s kind of like Missing was about Nikki Boyds life on the Missing Person Task Force as she solved another case. By no means was it boring, I just felt there was no need for the second book. I would have been happier if she only made two books and then made them longer and went into more detail. It seems like she’s focusing too much on the story and not on the background and characters. Now all that aside it was a very entertaining book. It differently has some of the same qualities as Vendetta. Very fast paced, similar in style, so on and so forth. So if you like the first book in the Nikki Boyd Files series, then I think you will find Missing intriguing. I have to say I am super pumped for the third book, Pursued, that is coming out spring of next year. Missing was differently worth the read and buy. God Bless,

Another case for Nikki Boyd and another suspense ride for me. I found the missing person angle of this book to be fascinating. Even though murder had occurred, there was still an opportunity for Nikki to find a missing person before it happened again. I liked the hope threaded through the suspense. With an explosive start from the first page, this fast paced suspenseful read by Lisa Harris kept me guessing at every turn. “Missing” is the second book in the Nikki Boyd Files series with “Vendetta” being the first. Being a huge fan of the first book, I had a large expectation for the second one & I’m happy to say it surpassed all of my presumption. The first book is a bit different than the second but I really liked that because it didn’t make them just alike. I must forewarn any readers that you really need to read the first book in order to fully grasp the storyline & get the full effect of the characters, but please consider taking the time to read “Vendetta” because I personally don’t think you will be disappointed. One of my favorite things about this series is the progressing romance between the longtime friends, Nikki Boyd and Tyler Grant. We see from the first book that there’s a spark between the two lead characters, some readers may get frustrated at the time Ms. Harris is taking to put them together, however personally I believe one of the most beautiful things about it is the friendship that is slowly forming into something more. Another thing I really love is the relationship between Tyler’s son, Liam, and Nikki. Since she’s been in his life since he was born there’s a really sweet connection between the two of them. The books really show how the first 48 hours of missing person cases is the most critical, that alone is very interesting to me. The detail in the crime of each book is very intriguing and I think you might find it so as well if you like mysteries. All in all I give this book 5 stars and cannot wait for the next book “Pursued” to come out in April of this year!! If you enjoy a mysterious thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, I highly recommend this to you. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions expressed in this book are my own.

Nikki Boyd is back to action, this time she is called to a homicide even though she specializes in missing persons. When it is discovered that two people are missing and are linked to the homicide, Nikki and her partner, Jack, jump on the case. What she does not expect is for the trail to take her to her friend, Tyler. How can he possibly be involved? What has he been hiding? What does he know? And will Nikki find the missing people before more victims end up in a body bag? I thoroughly enjoyed Vendetta, the first in the Nikki Boyd Files, and was looking forward to the sequel. Missing did not disappoint! I was engrossed in the story, I was entertained by the characters and their personalities and lives. I am looking forward to what is next in store for Nikki. *I received this book free from Revell in exchange for my honest review. What I have expressed is entirely my own thoughts.*

Missing was a fairly good story. There were a lot of pieces that were jumbled but it came together. A little slow starting but the pace picked up towards the ending. If you like suspense books then this story is one you will probably like. I didn't know this was book book two in a series, I think it would have helped if I was able to read the first book. Thanks to Netgalley and Revell for the chance to read and review this book. My review is my own and doesn't reflect my opinion of the book.

Missing was an entertaining read with a good dose of mysterious intrigue and diversity. It was suspenseful, edgy and gripping as any authentic mystery thriller should read. Each chapter was shrewdly wrought with shocking sequence of events making this absorbing book fly by at an almost impossible speed; I really liked it! ___________________________________ WHAT I LIKED + The overarching storyline was well written and executed murder mystery at its finest! From the onset of the book, I was instantly immersed in the climatic conditions of the prose. Following this further, there are more than a few mysteries that unfold in Missing, but they never feel overwrought or discombobulated. In fact, they tie in sensibly and neatly in the end. It goes without saying that, Lisa Harris has easily become one of my all-time favorite mystery writers; truth be told, all the books that I have read from her series read just like a movie making my overall reading experience utterly engrossing. + While my feelings are in a mixed bag when it comes to the main characters in this series, I have thoroughly enjoyed the villains! Each one of their backstories is coherent and we come to acknowledge what drives their brooding darkness and fury. To boot, their unrelenting hostility towards Nikki, the team, and the solution to the storyline is brutal, and this, to me, is awesome because Nikki and the team don’t come across as simpletons so to speak. + The storytelling is superb as well as the pacing and tone of the prose. It adds the perfect amount of tension and excitement, and while there are a good handful of characters in this story, each voice and character arc is distinct. What I mean to say is, you never lose the emotions or perspectives from each character. + Then we have the basic premise of the novel which is based on counterfeit drugs and went on to stir an endless amount of questions and conspiracies. Seriously, it’s bad enough to acknowledge that I’m an extremely superstitious person ― yes, I have my theories on why cancer rates are increasing, but this is not a topic I want to divulge on at the moment; thus, to read a story that taps into the greed and folly of humanity was unnerving but altogether intriguing to say the least. THINGS THAT MADE GO HMMM. . . - My only quibble with Missing was with the overwhelming amount of character deaths that left no real effect. Granted, there was a ripple effect of each victim’s death, but it just felt meaningless at times and jarring. - Missing’s romantic plotline has stunned me by not being the typical romantic prose we see in most conceived scenarios; in fact, I’m not quite sure how I feel about Nikki and Tyler’s ebb of emotions at this point. On one hand, in light of Katie’s death, I find it. . . Full review @ http://www.mysoulcalledlife.com/2016/08/28/book-review-missing-the-nikki-boyd-files-2-by-lisa-harris/

There is almost nothing better than cracking open a new novel from a favorite author. Like with all of Lisa Harris’s books, I quickly became attached to the story and characters when reading Vendetta, the first in this series. Missing brings that same level of suspense building, realistic romance, and non-stop action. "She needed to get out of the water and run. To warn Tyler that it wasn't safe. Because she had been right. His life was still in danger. Her life was in danger." -Lisa Harris, Missing Nikki Boyd and her team don’t usually get called in for a homicide, but this new case proves to be unique when it’s discovered that the homeowners, Mac and Lucy Hudson, are missing from the crime scene. Nikki and her partner Jack follow the first lead to a marina and a particular boat, which happens to be owned by Nikki’s friend Tyler Grant. She finds herself at another crime scene when her team discovers a third dead body on board, and Tyler in what seems to be a compromising position. Nikki knows Tyler can’t be involved, but struggles to find his connection to the case. What starts as a homicide and a missing persons case turns into something on a far grander scale, as clues of counterfeit drug conspiracy pop up. Nikki races to find the missing woman while unraveling the clues and uncovering the truth, which a killer will stop at nothing to keep buried. Two things I adored about this book -- the first was the evolving relationship between Nikki and Tyler. The second was the continuation of the storyline that started in the first book involving Nikki’s missing sister Sarah. Everything else in this story kind of faded into the background for me in light of this. I lived for those few scenes, probably because I love these characters so much. Don’t get me wrong, there is so many aspects to be admired in this sequel -- such as the crazy action and intriguing mystery that will definitely get your heart thumping. But it didn’t thrill me as much as the more personal storylines. Though I enjoyed the explosive Vendetta a bit more than this sequel, I am eagerly anticipating the next book! I’m dying to know what happened to Nikki’s sister and see her and Tyler’s slow-going relationship finally bloom. This series can only be described as romantic suspense done well! *I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Niki Boyd is on the case -- this time a combination murder, missing person matter. She's determined to clear her friend when it looks like he's involved in a murder that happened on his boat. When his father-in-law is killed leaving the precinct, she's determined to get to the bottom of the situation. The plot twists as more bodies show up and it becomes unclear who is involved and why. While uncoiling the mystery and finding the missing woman before it's too late, she also has to uncoil her attachment to her best friend. He's about to leave to find healing from the death of his wife, and there are no guarantees he'll ever see her as more than a friend. The plot is tightly paced as the whole book occurs in a handful of days. A quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed, Lisa Harris has become one of my go-to romantic suspense authors.

Another great book. I loved this second book in the series. It can stand alone but you will miss part of the mystery that carries over from the first book. I have fallen in love with Nikki Boyd. I feel like I am her while I am reading. I can't wait to read the next book. The book is well written. The suspense and twists and turns with danger at every little twist kept me propelled in the story. In addition to all the fine points in the story, I loved the inspirational thread.

Lisa Harris’ book Missing is an intense fast-paced read from start to finish. No worries on feeling nervous throughout this text though—it is simply a brilliant read. Think Law and Order via text—that is exactly what I thought as I learned more about each character and the choices being made. This modern day detective style novel is very different from what I typically read, but I enjoyed checking out this different genre. If you love detective stories, you will definitely enjoy this book. At the beginning, the author introduces the main character, Nikki Boyd. Nikki’s life gets turned upside down when her sister is kidnapped, and she spends her days trying to find Sarah. Her original college plans are put on hold as she learns how to become a good detective, yet ten years pass by and no new leads are found pertaining to the disappearance of her sister. Many say Nikki is chasing a ghost, because it is believed Sarah is dead, but Nikki is determined to never give up. She longs to find out what happened and to give herself and her family closure. Tyler Grant is one of Nikki’s best friends. After his wife Katie suddenly dies, Nikki’s friendship with Tyler and his son Liam grows even stronger. Soon, Nikki realizes she has fallen in love with him. Therefore, when Tyler unknowingly finds himself in trouble, thereby putting his life in danger, it is up to Nikki and her partner Jack to uncover the truth. As they try to put all the pieces together—pieces that connect old family friends and acquaintances—Nikki discovers hidden truths and secrets so many never told. How can so many individuals be connected to various events, and why are so many fearful when the truth is all they seek? Even when a particular character appears to be good, difficult situations reveal their true nature. Once again, life is in the balance because of greed and deceit—will integrity prevail? As each chapter closes, this suspense novel keeps the reader guessing till the end. This book was a definite page turner for me, and I cannot wait to read other novels by this author. If you enjoy suspense stories, I recommend adding this book to your reading list. This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to Revell Books, a division of Baker Publishing Group, for my copy.

If you follow my reviews you'll know that I wasn't all that hot on the first book in the Nikki Boyd Files. I said I enjoy Lisa Harris' writing so I was willing to give book two a shot. Well I've read it . . . and I enjoyed it very much. Missing is written more like what I have come to expect from Lisa. The plot moves along at a good clip and the characters' actions seem to be more in alignment with what you would expect from them. The story line in Missing picks up just shortly after Vendetta left off. Nikki Boyd finds herself embroiled in a precarious missing persons case. Every time she seems to be making some headway in the case one of her contacts winds up dead. As the story progressed I thought that I knew who was behind everything. Then an unexpected turn came and I had to rethink my conclusion. I also enjoyed gaining more insight into the mysterious disappearance of Nikki's sister years ago. This is a secondary plot that adds depth to the reasoning behind Nikki's career choice. When you add in the brewing romance with longtime friend Tyler Grant you wind up with an intriguing story that completely held my interest and left me wanting more. I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

Hold on to your hat. This one is one of the best mysteries I've read. The body count goes up at an alarming rate! There are great plot twists, and while I had my suspicions of who the mastermind was, I didn't know for sure until Ms Harris made the revelation. This is a great book, and I can't wait for the next in the series.

Missing by Lisa Harris is book two in the Nikki Boyd files and the first of Ms. Harris’ books that I’ve read. The romance and suspense were wonderfully balanced and the story held my interest throughout. The ending left me wanting the last book in the series for sure. Nikki Boyd is a strong woman greatly skilled in finding missing persons but her current case involves too many dead bodies. She’s wading through the evidence to find missing Lucy Hudson and the trail is taking her in directions she never imagined. Tyler Grant is her best friend’s husband and a man who should be off limits. But they’ve supported each other through the years following his wife’s death and become so much more than friends. Nikki isn’t sure she’s willing to take the risk to go beyond friendship but losing Tyler is unbearable, too. I enjoyed the story and found it to offer great twists and turns that kept me guessing. I’ve also found a new author and that’s always GREAT news! I received this book from Revell Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion which I’ve provided here. https://wordynerdyblog.wordpress.com/2016-book-reviews/missing-by-lisa-harris/

Missing, Book 2 of The Nikki Boyd Files by Lisa Harris is equally as good as the first book, Vendetta. I loved Nikki as I got to know her in the first book, although I wanted to tell her to forget the past and get on with life on occasion. In Book 1, we met Nikki and her best friend’s husband, Tyler Grant. Both were in mourning as Tyler’s wife, Katie, had been killed in a freak accident. Tyler still blames himself although he could not have prevented the tragedy. Harris gives just enough of the backstory to allow each book to stand alone. I really appreciate that in an author writing a series! Nikki Boyd works missing persons. She’s been instrumental in closing a number of cold cases. But this time, she’s been called in on a homicide. Two murders have been committed, and two people connected to the crime have gone missing. One of the first clues leads Nikki and the other detectives working the case to a marina—and a boat owned by Tyler Grant—which has another dead body onboard! Katie’s dad, George, hidden aboard the boat, suddenly takes off for deep water. He is pursued and taken into custody—as Nikki, George, and Tyler are walking out of the station, shots erupt and George falls, wounded. Lisa has written more twists and false clues into this story to stump even the most ardent detective. How everything interrelates and how everyone is connected is amazing. You’re deep in the middle of the action by the end of the fifth chapter. Missing is such fun to read, I’m not going to tell you more. Buy the book. You’ll love Nikki Boyd and be rooting for a romance to bloom! Four stars. Lisa Harris is a Christy Award winner and the winner of the Romantic Times Best Inspirational Novel for 2100. She and her family have spent twelve years on the mission field in southern Africa and presently live in Mozambique, where she leads a women’s ministry and a non-profit organization. Nutshell: Book two in the Nikki Boyd Files finds Nikki on a new case that involves her friend Tyler. The hunt is on to clear her friend and find the murder who is terrorizing the city. Every suspect is winding up dead and Nikki is on the race against time to keep those she loves safe. With dead-end clues at every turn, Nikki must use her training and grit to be one step ahead of game, dodge bullets, link ties to an underground drug operation and who is all involved. Pro's: Very fast-paced and keeps you wondering what is going to happen. The twists and turns keep you guessing what is going to happen next. Great plot, great second book in the series. Con's: May be a bit confusing if you haven't read the 1st book in the series, but the reader should be able to catch up quickly. Recommendation: Lisa Harris does it again with another great book. If you enjoy thriller suspense, this is the book for you! Revell Books sent me this complimentary copy to review for them. Opinions expressed are my own

This is part of the series called "The Nikki Boyd Files' by Lisa Harris. Most of the time Nikki Boyd helps out when people disappear. But, in this case she has been asked to help on a murder case. There are two people that have been murdered and now she is trying to find two others that lived on this street. Tyler Grant is Nikki's friend and she has found someone else dead on his boat. Does Tyler know these dead people? Is he part of the murders? Maybe she should just stop trying to figure it out because there are people out there that are not happy with her snooping. I give this book a 4/5. I was given this book by Revell Publishing Company and these are my opinions.

When Special Agent Nikki Boyd arrives on the scene, two bodies are being wheeled out of a home in one of Nashville’s affluent suburbs. This is unusual, mostly because Nikki handles missing persons cases. But the deceased are not the owners of the home. The homeowners, Mac and Lucy Hudson, are, and they are, indeed, missing. When another dead body turns up on the boat of her friend Tyler Grant, Nikki has to unravel what ties Tyler to the Hudsons. They need to find the killer, while eluding his hired men in the process. Nikki also needs to grapple with her feelings for Tyler. He was always her best friend’s husband, though Katie has been gone now for a year. Perhaps, if they both survive this investigation, Nikki can figure out if Tyler is one to pursue. But Tyler has some major news to share, news which may be a great divide. The second book in The Nikki Boyd Files, “Missing” was a satisfying blend of potentially budding romance and whodunit suspense within the sub-genre of Christian fiction. Lisa Harris writes in a manner that’s not so complex that someone can’t enjoy a good read at the end of a long day, but the plot is complex enough to engage the reader. You feel invested in the lives of Nikki and Tyler and the characters that surround them. Harris gives her characters, not just a voice, but a resonance. This is especially helpful since it’s the second book, and I came into this series without having read the first book, “Vendetta.” There were some hints to what went on in the first book and probably a continuation to a long-standing search of Nikki’s, but there wasn’t enough focus on it that I ever felt lost or resentful to the fact that I haven’t read the first story. Summed up, I am glad that I chose this book, for I look forward to continuing this series, which has been fast-paced for me, thus far. -- Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Revell Books. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions are expressly my own.

"Missing" is another great mystery by Lisa Harris who also wrote "Vendetta" These are about part of her The Nikki Boyd Files series. Nikki Boyd might be in over her head. She has found herself trying to help solve two murders and to also help find others that lived nearby that are now missing. She starts out by following the trail and when it ends up at her friends boat she has to stop and decide what to do next. Is her friend Tyler Grant mixed up in this mystery? Will she be able to find the murderer before they find her? Hopefully no one else will be murdered. I give this book a 5/5. I was given this book for a review . These are all my opinions. I got this book by Revell Publishing Company.

The Nikki Boyd Files series by Lisa Harris just keeps getting better and better. In Missing we have Nikki and her partner Jack called in for a couple of homicides at a home. Questioning why they are there, they find out that the owners of the home are missing and these were the goons sent to finish them off. This story just becomes more intense as Nikki’s love interest, widower Tyler, is found standing over a dead body on his boat. Nikki and her team know that the first 48 hours are the most crucial; they race against time to find this couple. However, there are some powerful and rich people behind a scandal of monstrous proportions that don’t mind keeping the body count up to finish off anyone who stands in their way. And that includes Nikki and Tyler. This is an adrenaline rush of a read that is further complicated with Nikki’s newly discovered love for Tyler and wondering if she should tell him. Not only dealing with that, but Nikki who is still haunted by her sister’s disappearance 10 years ago receives some unsettling news concerning that unsolved crime. After THAT ending and after THAT excerpt of the next in the series, I can hardly wait for Pursued to be published. Keep on writing Lisa. I received a copy of this book for an honest review from Revell Publishing and the opinions are my own.

Great suspense fiction can be all consuming, and Lisa Harris writes that kind of story. I found the action in her latest novel MISSING to be a little like trying to take a sip of water from a fire hose — the pressure never. let. up. Nikki Boyd and The Missing Persons Special Task Force search for the wife of Mac Hudson, a would be whistle blower employed by Byrne Laboratories. The body count rises as the team follows a labyrinth of clues, zig-zagging around Nashville in a frantic search for Lucy Hudson. This book boasts intense action, reminiscent of a Jason Bourne movie (only rated PG), which made for a fast-paced thrilling read. Readers returning for their second installment of the Nikki Boyd Files will already know some of Nikki and Tyler's history. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the book to someone new to the series. Harris continues adding layers in the case of Nikki's missing sister and the death of Tyler's wife, with enough details from VENDETTA included for this novel to stand on it's own. As before, Nikki and Tyler's friendship/romance is a slow burn that binds me to this series with an eager expectancy. I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

** “I’ve spent so much time the past few months searching my faith. Trying to figure out how to move forward. I’ve begun to realize that God wants more than me simply trying to survive.” ** Lisa Harris’ “Missing” picks up five weeks after the end of the series’ first novel, with Nikki Boyd getting called into a case with a double murder and two missing people. While trying to find the missing couple — Mac and Lucy Hudson — Nikki, a member of Tennessee’s Missing Persons Special Task Force, must also figure out what her close friend, Tyler Grant, has to do with the situation, if anything, when a dead body related to the case is found on his boat. What follows is a non-stop, action-packed novel featuring murder, death, kidnapping, bombs, cover-ups and counterfeit drugs. And while attempting to solve this bizarre case, Nikki continues to hunt down clues as to what happened to her sister, Sarah, who went missing 10 years ago. “Missing” is mainly an intense thriller, but also features a bit of a blooming romance between Nikki and Tyler, who is still getting over the accidental death of his wife. Featuring very mild Christian themes, it does touch on faith, dealing with guilt and overcoming the past. Harris does a great job moving the plot along quickly and succinctly, keeping the reader on the edge of his seat. You will not be able to put this book down. You could read this novel as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading “Vendetta” first. I can’t wait to read “Pursued” in the spring! Five stars out of five. Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, provided this complimentary copy for my honest, unbiased review.

Rich in characterization and content, Missing is an exciting romantic suspense! Although I have not read the first book in the Nikki Boyd Files, I had no trouble following the storyline. I loved the twists and turns of Nikki’s fast-paced pursuit of a missing woman, compromised pharmaceuticals, and a gang of killers. These threads, intricately woven through the narrative, kept me hurriedly turning the pages to discover what would happen next. I also delighted in Nikki and Tyler’s relationship and look forward to reading Vendetta to learn how their story began and Pursued (Spring 2017) to see where their journey leads. Lisa Harris is a name to watch in romantic suspense. This series has been full of suspense, danger and interesting plot twists. The story drew me in immediately and kept me turning pages late into the night. I love the way the romance is building up slowly over the series, feeling so natural under the circumstances. There was a great cast of supporting characters and I love the author's writing voice. I thought she did an excellent job with the investigative side of the story. Plot: Nikki Boyd usually investigates missing persons, but when bodies turn up and the homeowners are missing, she and her partner Jack are called in for the case. When the investigation leads to her friend Tyler's boat, Nikki has to put aside her personal life. Soon it becomes clear that no one is safe with the killer on the loose. It's up to Nikki to solve the case before her friend is killed. Characters: Nikki Boyd is a detective specializing in missing persons case, driven by the fact her own sister's case is still unsolved. After serving in the military, Tyler is still trying to put his life back together after his wife's death. Nikki's a great friend to Tyler and his son, Liam and the connection between them was a great part of the story. Recommendation: I'd highly recommend this series to fans of Lynnette Eason, Dee Henderson or Irene Hannon's romantic suspense. Missing is the second book in the Nikki Boyd Files, and it can stand alone, but I'd recommend reading Vendetta first, as it's a great introduction to the characters and their relationship. While the mystery is this story is fully resolved, there are some story threads that will be continued in the following book(s). Rating: 5/5 stars I received a free copy of this book from Revell in exchange for an honest review.

I am really becoming a fan of Lisa Harris. There are some books that I don’t even have to read the back cover to know I want to read it because of the author and anything by Lisa Harris is a book I want to pick up. There is non-stop action. You know each chapter will up the tension and leave you wondering what is going on. From the first chapter in this book you are thrown into the action. I also loved the slow romance between Nikki and Tyler and all the complications surrounding that. Nikki tries to fight her feelings and we don’t get much clue into how Tyler feels so it leave the reader wondering if he returns her feelings. Faith is woven in lightly in this book but it is there. No worries if you didn’t read the first book in the series, I don’t think you will feel lost at, Lisa does a great job of filling you in as you go. If you love romantic suspense I have no doubt you will be very pleased with this book. A copy of this book was given to my by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Will She Have Enough Time? Two people are missing, and two people are dead. Nikki Boyd, part of The Missing Persons Task Force, has been called in to track down the two that are missing. Suddenly, the case gets really personal for her. One of the crime scenes is on a boat, The Isabella, owned by her good friend, Tyler. After that, things get even more complex when it is revealed that George Brennan, Tyler's estranged, alcoholic father-in-law, is involved in this case as well. Tyler and Nikki have a complicated relationship. Tyler is the husband of Nikki's best friend, Katie. But a year earlier, Katie drowned--falling off The Isabella--leaving Tyler, her young son Liam, and Nikki heart-broken. The three of them have spent a lot of time together this past year trying to cope with their grief. Lately, Nikki has found herself starting to develop romantic feelings towards Tyler, and has pulled back from him and Liam. She is torn between happiness and guilt for feeling that way. Now, this case is bringing Nikki face to face with Tyler, as well as, Katie's dad, George. Following the clues and evidence leads Nikki from the pharmaceutical offices in an expensive office building to sleazy motels in the worst part of town. Before this investigation is over, Nikki, Tyler and Liam's lives will all be in danger. At the same time, Nikki works hard to unravel just who is behind all this. The reader will be kept on the edge of their seat, while finding out if Nikki will be able to to solve this crime before it is too late. In the midst of all this turmoil, Nikki can't stop thinking about her growing feelings for Tyler. Will she have the courage to tell him how she really feels? If she does, will it destroy their friendship if he doesn't feel the same way? This book is a real page turner, and I really enjoyed it. Missing is the second installment in The Nikki Boyd Files, but this story can definitely stand on its own. It is written from a Christian point of view, which I really appreciate. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys well-written suspense stories, with a dash of mystery. Missing rates five plus stars.
