Monsieur Lecoq

The novel Monsieur Lecoq is a novel written by Emile Gobariau a French author, regarded as 'father of detective novels'. Gobariau introduced this character Lecoq, first time in his novel, 'L'Affaire Lerogue, published in 1866. In this novel Lecoq plays a minor role later it became a well-known name in detective novels.
