About the Author

Candice Ransom is the author of more than 160 books for children and young adults. She has an MFA in writing from Vermont College (VCFA) and an MA in children’s literature from Hollins University. She teaches in Hollins University’s graduate program in children’s literature. With her husband and two cats, she lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Tyrell Solomon was born in Hampton, Virginia, and raised in Dover, Delaware. Tyrell attended Say Sí, a non-profit art program in San Antonio, Texas, before going to School of Visual Arts in New York, New York, for cartooning. Tyrell uses whimsical and colorful comics and illustrations to promote messages of inclusivity and mindfulness.
