SYLVIA M. GUTIÉRREZ is a mortgage professional. A loan officer since 1993, Sylvia has assisted thousands of families in the mortgage application process having worked for one of the Big Three, a mid-size regional bank, a community bank, and a mom-and-pop broker shop. She has a degree in Finance from Florida International University. She’s dedicated her career to educating her clients about responsible personal financial habits, the workings of the U.S. housing finance system, and what an individual needs to do to prepare for homeownership. Sylvia serves as a director on the board of the South Florida Chapter of the Mortgage Banker’s Association and on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for NAMB - the National Association of Mortgage Professionals as Vice Chair for Fair Lending topics. In these roles, she partners with industry-wide real estate finance professionals to deliver education to both mortgage professionals and the community at-large.
