As in all the other books in this series, Claire Cook brings us very real characters who could be your friends, neighbors or members of your own crazy family. She infuses humor in just the right places to make you smile or laugh right out loud. Simply cannot wait to see what happens next for Sarah and John as they move in and move forward. You can always count on a Claire Cook story to lift your spirits!
Very rarely when reading a book can I find that true connection with the main character. In every book Claire writes, I feel that the main character becomes a mirror image in one situation or another. That is no different than with Sara Hurlihy and her life. Each book in the Must Love Dogs series has an A-Ha moment where you truly connect with Sara and her life. Her wit and sarcasm truly remind me of myself. Sarah’s dad is always bringing in the comic relief with his quirky career ventures and dating life. Just like the additions of the family house are about to get underway, the series keeps growing also. Being that it is a quick, easy read makes it perfect for anybody, including busy moms that are always on the go. When is the next book coming out?
Beach reading has officially begun! The best way to start is with Claire Cook's "Must Love Dogs:Bark & Roll Forever". In this fourth installment of this series we continue to follow the adventures and misadventures of the Hurlihy family. In this edition the emphasis is on the life and love of Sarah. We follow her love life with John and his canine companion Horatio, her family adventures (both current and ex) and antics at the preschool where she teaches. I find the characters endearing and their situations a rollercoaster ride of fun. If you are new to this series, start with the original "Must Love Dogs" and follow through to this new installment. At this point, reading this book is like catching up with oldfriends. Claire's books always leave me smiling.
