About the Author

B. E. Padgett is a young adult and children's author in the Pacific Northwest. Before pursuing her passion for writing and storytelling, she worked for ten years as a student affairs professional in higher education. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from Central Washington University. She was editor-in-chief at Manastash Literary Journal and business manager for Poetry Northwest. Brittany is best known for her middle-grade book series The Reeds of West Hills.

Brittany Tucker lives on an island off the coast of Washington state with her husband, daughter, a menagerie of furry and scaled children, and her imagination. She prefers generic cereal, collects tattoos and action figures, and was in the top 5% on the planet for ships sunk in Assassin's Creed III.
