About the Author

Author/artist Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his manga Karakuri ("Mechanism"). Kishimoto decided to base his next story on traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits; his final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in Japan.

Volume 6 of the Naruto Series is an amazing read, the Chuunin Exams now getting to the juicy parts. An interesting Enemy is revealed in this book and the rest of the story to follow revolves around him and his goal involving Sasuke. Its a shorter volume but still full of Action. The only problem I have, is that this website has lsted the creator as Nobuhiro Watsuki, the creator of the Rurouni Kenshin series. It's a plain ignorant mistake as Masashi Kishimoto is there more then clearly on the cover. Why B&N only has Vol 6, I do not know but this is a mistake I hope they rectify in the very near future.

The story of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura takes an intresting turn as they have their first encounter with Orichimaru. I must say, so far, of all the GN's of Naruto out in English, this one is the best.

I liked this volume more than the previous one. It's got lots of action and inner struggle. We get more hints of Naurto's hidden power and Sakura finally shows us that she can fight powerfully as well. Everyone is growing, maturing, and that's what I like. I'm becoming intrigued, finally. I'm interested in what is going to happen. With that said, I'm going to go read more.

And so the team start the second part of their ninja selection test. The dynamic art and witty script enhance a story of love, loyalty, and conflict.

Well, this was a tense volume. And looks like another arc has begun. About time the series gets an interesting arc. Good volume.

I really enjoyed this volume, it was really good! I liked it when Sakura was getting beat up by the sound ninja. BUT WHY DID LEE HAVE TO PROTECT SAKURA!?!?!?!?! Rock Lee I LOVE YOU!! I HATE SAKURA SOOO MUCH! OK, I'm calm now. I'm a little over obsessive! TEE HEE HEE! KK hope you enjoy this volume!

I love this Volume, Volume 4 and volume 7 the best! Sakura in Action was cool!It was the first full episode I saw of Naruto too! Saskura Blossoms...that one was good! I liked the part with Rock Lee making up his own traing methods! That was really weird and funny at the same time! I loved the part with the Orochimaru Battle! NARUTO SHOWS SASUKE UP!!! I also think Sakuras starting to like Naruot A little bit...I think that started in Volume 5...though!
