New Windsor locals remember Nellie Murray's Ice Cream Shop, the firehouse parties and parades, riding their bikes around Ducktown, and learning to drive a car in the gravel bank or in one of the cemeteries. The Hudson River and Seaman's Beach added not only to the geographic beauty of the land, but also to the amusement of children and adults alike.
