Beatrice Alemagna (Bologna, 1973) de pequeña admiraba los libros de Gianni Rodari y las imágenes de Bruno Munari y Emanuele Luzzati, tanto que decidió que de mayor crearía novelas. Después de terminar sus estudios de diseño y comunicación visual en el ISIA de Urbino, en 1996 ganó el primer premio en el concurso de ilustración Figures futures del Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse, Montreuil; en 2000, ganó el Prix Attention Talent-Fnac; en 2002, el Prix Octogones. En 2007, consiguió una mención en el Bologna Ragazzi Award. Ha expuesto su obra en Bologna, Milán, Roma, París, Lisboa, y Tokio.



As a child Beatrice Alemagna (Bologna, 1973) admired the books by Gianni Rodari and the images by Bruno Munari and Emanuele Luzzati, so much so that she decided that when she was older she would create novels. After finishing her studies in design and visual communication at the ISIA in Urbino, in 1996 she won the first prize in the illustration contest Figures futures at the Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse, Montreuil; in 2000, she won the Prix Attention Talent-Fnac; in 2002, she was the Prix Octogones.
