This novel is a nice combination between hard core female protagonist mystery and formula plot mystery. Well written with interesting plot twiests. It is perfect for vacation. Not challenging but not boring either.

I enjoy Nancy Pickards stories, her ideas and writing style. BUT normally when I find an author that I enjoy, I will read all of their books and keep looking for new ones to come out. However, there are so many errors in these books that it's difficult to get through. Ex: in one it says "he looked like he hadn't slept all night, he had dark circles under his arms". If it were just once or twice it would be ok, but this is consistent throughout all three Jenny Cain books that I have read. They look like they were written by a child and nobody bothered to read and edit them before they went to press. Too bad that this is the case, I would have enjoyed them. I can't recommend the series, or the author.
