Bestselling author Sherry Ewing brings you a new series in Nothing But Time: A Family of Worth, Book One.
They will risk everything for their forbidden love...
When Lady Gwendolyn Marie Worthington is forced to marry a man old enough to be her father, she concludes love will never enter her life. Her husband is a cruel man who blames her for his own failings. Then she meets her brother's attractive business associate, and all those longings she had thought gone forever suddenly reappear.
A long-term romance holds no appeal for Neville Quinn, Earl of Drayton until an unexpected encounter with the sister of the Duke of Hartford. Still, he resists giving his heart to another woman, especially one who belongs to another man.
Chance encounters lead to intimate dinners, until Neville and Gwendolyn flee to Berwyck Castle at Scotland's border hoping beyond reason their fragile love will survive the vindictive reach of Gwendolyn's possessive husband. Before their journey is over, Gwendolyn will risk losing the only love she has ever known.
Bonus material includes several blog posts that continue the story from Nothing But Time.

I knew when I opened the first page this would be a great story. Of course I was not disappointed because Sherry Ewing is a master of drawing the reader in and not letting go until the end. This is the tale of the arranged marriage of a young girl, Lady Gwendolyn to a man old enough to be her father. It was actually her father who had sealed the deal prior to his death. Determined to make the best of it, she really had no chance because her husband was very cruel and had some secrets problems and blamed her for his shortcomings. In a chance meeting while she is out with her brother, a man happens to meet her eye and they are both struck immediately by each other. Neville, Earl of Drayton is actually a business associate of her brothers and they are introduced that fateful day. Thus an emotional roller coaster begins as Gwendolyn and Neville run into each other and then are put together at times. But what can become of their attraction? She is married after all. Through page after page, I could not wait to find out what happened and at the end my heart smiled for this couple! I truly cannot wait for more in this series to see how some of the secondary characters find their Happy Ever After. Lori Dykes
This is book one in a new series by Sherry Ewing. Lady Gwendolyn Worthington’s brother forces her to marry a man old enough to be her father, to fulfill a contract between him and her father. None of her pleading will change his mind. It is not a happy marriage with no love there. After seven months, while dining with her two brothers, she sees Neville Quinn, Earl of Drayton, across the room. Neville is an associate of her brothers’ and, therefore, meets Gwendolyn. There is an instant spark between them, but she is married. However, with her younger brother’s help, they are able to meet secretly. When Gwendolyn can no longer stand her husband, she goes to Neville and they flee to Berwyck Castle near the Scottish border. They only have a few days together before her brothers show up, followed by her husband the next day. Then it is back to London with her husband. The story has a happily-ever-after ending, but it takes some time for that to happen. I enjoyed the story, even though it wasn’t as exciting as the “Knights of Berwyck” series by Sherry Ewing. Sherry Ewing is an excellent author and one of my favorites. I don’t think you can go wrong reading any of her stories. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review, which I have given.
With every book I read of Ms. Ewing's, I keep thinking that it can't possibly get better. Then it does. This first book in the new series, A Family of Worth, is fabulous. Forced into a marriage of convenience to satisfy a family debt and promise, Lady Gwendolyn is miserable. Her husband is old, mean and flawed. My heart broke for her. Thank goodness Gwendolyn's younger brother made it his mission to see to her happiness. Enter Neville, the Rogue who makes women swoon. He would rather love them and leave them then get roped into marriage. Until.......... Despite his roguish ways, I adored him. The heart sometimes says yes, when the mind doesn't. That is love. I loved how Ms. Ewing connected Berwyk Castle from her previous books to this one. It made me smile! I can't wait to see where this series takes us. There are many more stories to tell. Maybe a ghost or two (hoping for Rolf) makes an appearance!
