Nudism in Modern Life based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
Take a trip back in time to learn what one of the early proponents of nudism, or what he called "gymnosophy," thought. As I understand it, this book was originally published in 1931. I'm a little skeptical of all of the science that he purports in favor of sun exposure, but it is quite interesting, nonetheless. The book has a smattering of black and white photos of people enjoying gymnosophy sprinkled throughout it, and this fact was quite controversial at the time of this book's original publication. Parmelee was the honorary president of the American Gymnosophical Association and a professor of sociology at City College of New York. I would not call this a must-read, but it is historically entertaining.
