The singular journey of Odd Thomas is approaching its unforgettable conclusion in Saint Odd. But before Odd’s destiny is revealed, this exclusive eBook short story looks back—way back—to where it all began for Odd Thomas and Stormy Llewellyn, two souls who are destined to be together forever.
Amid the dizzying rides, tantalizing games of chance, and fanciful attractions of a state fair, two teenage sweethearts on the cusp of life and love’s pleasures find their way to a shadowy carnival tent brimming with curiosities. There, from the bizarre and enthralling Gypsy Mummy, a mechanized merchant of dreams and prognosticator of tomorrows, the young couple learns what fate promises for them. But fate, for Odd Thomas and Stormy Llewellyn, is something altogether different: full of dark corners, sharp edges, and things no seer or soothsayer could ever anticipate.
And for Odd Thomas, a gallant fry cook from a sleepy California desert town, the future beckons—to listen to unquiet spirits, pursue unsettling mysteries, and learn shocking truths . . . for a purpose far greater than himself.

This Odd Thomas book only has 35 pages. Because of content and length, I think it should have been free. I paid $1.99 for this short. In the summer of 2015, the last Odd Thomas will be published. I feel as if a friend just told me they were moving away, never to return and leaving no forwarding address. Compared to the other books, this was not one of the better ones. I have a feeling Odd Thomas got it wrong and the cleavered ghosr was very angry about Odd's mistake. I bet this storyline is picked up in the next book. Now I am going to fix and eat a peanut butter, banana fried sandwhich and listen to Love Me Tender, I am going to contemplate on this because, I think there is more to this tale then meets the eye. I liked this story even though it was extremely short because it reminded me of how Odd Thomas was at the beginning. The last few Odd Thomas books were different and his character was changed and not for the better I think. This is a nice short peak at how things used to be and it made me want more of this story rather than the out of place unanswered questions that have been in the books lately.

I enjoyed this short story but was hoping for more of a background on how they met and started falling in love. Though even before reading this story when I see a electric fortune telling gypsy and such I think of Koontz and his character. I`ve read every book in the series and preordered the last one and am extreemely interested in how Koontz will end the series. Should be good.

You Are Destined To Be Together Forever is a prequel to the Odd Thomas series by American author, Dean Koontz. It introduces sixteen-year-old Odd Thomas, high school student and fry cook at Pico Mundo Grill, and Stormy Llewellyn, whom he is proud and pleased to call “his girl”. Mention is made of his best friend, P. Oswald Boone, his boss Terri Stambaugh, and his friend, Police Chief Wyatt Porter. And of Odd’s unique gift/curse: the ability to see dead people. On his night off, Odd has borrowed Terri’s car and is taking his girl to the Carnival where Stormy is looking forward to snow cones with orange syrup. But Stormy will have to be patient, because an uninvited hitchhiker of the spiritual variety means they need to go save a life first. A short story with perhaps not quite as many twists as might be expected, but still likely to cultivate an interest in readers new to this seven book series.

If you are a fan of Dean Koontz and his Odd Thomas series then this is a must read. The familiarity of th characters and the cadence of Koont's writing is so comfortable, it is like catching up on old times with a friend. Brief, but good.

I love Odd Thomas. Quirky, funny an all around good time. The lingering dead never looked so good.

Like looking into the window while passing by a house on your street. You know the people who live there, but see them in a new light. This story is short, but very sweet.

I have read all of the Odd Thomas books. This one puts you in line with what has happened throughout these books. Rather upset that Dean Koontz is ending this series. Really enjoyed reading this series.
