Overview

When investigator Gabriel Chavez had his cover blown by an aggressive reporter, the silver lining was being able to rejoin the dive team. The downside? Dive team captain Anissa Bell—a woman who both fascinates and frustrates him.

Anissa grew up as a missionary kid on the Micronesian island of Yap and always planned to return after college. But she remained stateside, determined to solve the case that haunts her—the murder of her best friend and the disappearance of a three-year-old child.

When Anissa's fractured past collides with Gabe's investigation into the tragic shooting death of a teenage boy in Lake Porter, they'll have to put their complicated history with each other aside in order to uncover the identity of a killer. What they'll discover is that revenge has no statute of limitations.

Award-winning author Lynn H. Blackburn closes out her nail-biting Dive Team Investigations series with a story that will have you wondering how long you can hold your breath.

Where has Lynn Blackburn been all of my life? She is easily one of my new favorite authors. She has a pizazz in her writing that I haven’t nailed down yet, but it is definitely my style. She is on the immediate pre-order list. The Dive Team Investigators series has just been more outstanding with every book. I was so excited to “dive in” to Gabe and Anissa’s story, and I was not disappointed. Murder, kidnapping, mistaken identity, and mysterious pasts, each new revelation will keep you turning the pages until the wee hours. The romance was tender, well-paced, and true to what we know about the characters. The suspense hit you from tons of different angles and constantly kept you guessing on what would happen next. There were a few moments when I was craving more information about both Anissa and Gabe. I felt some was withheld too long and some was never shared at all. Gabe is a character that really intrigued me, and I wish we’d spent a little more time with him. Maybe we’ll see more Gabe in future Blackburn books! I’m really sad to say farewell to this group, but look forward to what Lynn is plotting out next! I was given an early copy of this manuscript through NetGalley for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own. (I also purchased this book on audible.)

I didn't want this series to end but was compelled to read Gabe and Anissa's story. Once again, Blackburn has produced a page-turning story with a plot any rollercoaster designer would envy. There are fascinating glimpses into backstory for the main characters and heart pounding action scenes. My only question as I closed the book was "when does her next series come out." This whole series has cemented her as one of my go-to authors, but brilliantly, each novel can be read as a stand alone, it's just more fun to already feel like you know the main players.

This series just keeps getting better with each installment. I love every one of the characters that keep showing up in this series. I really enjoy reading about this dive team and how they help to solve murders and other crimes. Gabe and Anissa start out as friends and then fall in love slowly. They are not sure that they deserve to be happy. It is fun to read how they work it all out. I love the intrigue throughout the series. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Having just listened to In Too Deep, the second book in the Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn Blackburn, I was eager to read One Final Breath. Several investigations converge and the past histories of some of the characters are revealed layer by layer. And yet the author keeps the reader's interest high with unexpected twists and turns and lots of action-packed scenes and of course, a sweet romance. I loved that the main characters from the three books are such good friends. They know each other well and have each others' backs. Their faith in God during difficult times is an inspiration. From the beginning to the climactic ending One Final Breath is a fascinating book. Readers who love romantic suspense will not want to miss this book or the whole series for that matter. I received a complimentary copy of the book from Netgalley and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

I love this novel and series! Finishing it is a mixed blessing – I couldn’t wait to see what would happen but didn’t want it to end! The main characters and their friends are strong Christians who are unashamed of their faith that influences their lives. The complex plot was impossible to for me to untangle, and spiritual lessons are priceless. The dive team is at Leigh and Ryan’s home on Lake Porter. Adam joins them with Sabrina, his fiancée. Anissa, Ryan, Adam, and Gabe are on the dive team through the sheriff’s office. Anissa and Gabe get along like oil and water; she has few close friends. Gabe understands a bit of her heart, especially since she killed a suspect several months ago to save Sabrina. She has secrets in her past that she guards carefully, convinced that most will reject her if they know. A thunderstorm rolls in as they hear a gunshot and screams. The dive team goes out in the boat to find who is calling for help. Anissa jumps into the water even as more gunshots are heard; she grabs the boy whose head a teen girl is trying to keep above water. Jeremy, the boy, has been shot, and they give him CPR until EMT’s arrive. Gabe might have to take himself off the case even though he is next in the rotation; he and the sister of Brooke, the teen girl, is Paisley, a reporter he had an unpleasant encounter with that forever changed his career. Paisley wants him on the case because he is so good at his job. Gabe and Anissa are forging a peaceful working relationship and begin fighting an attraction to each other. Brooke attempts suicide. Brooke’s loss of her best friend Jeremy brings memories of a long-ago event for which Anissa has felt responsible, she could be a good friend to Brooke. Someone is gunning for Anissa; Gabe is injured yet determined to protect her. The six friends work together to find who the bad guy is and why. Despite knowing Gabe will back away from her when he learns about the death of her best friend and disappearance of the three-year-old she should have been babysitting. It is necessary to reveal all, however, as the killer has resurfaced after all these years. I love how well these friends work together! Sabrina, a professor of cybersecurity and computer forensics, is one of my favorite characters, as is Anissa. Sabrina’s investigation, intuition, and tenacious searching is invaluable. Anissa is a hard-working, faith-filled young woman who I so want to see have a chance at a better future than she has imagined! Whether or not she has met her match in Gabe remains to be seen; he is her protector and worthy investigative partner. The prayers and kindness of those in the community, especially Mr. Cook, are a balm to Anissa’s wounded soul. One Final Breath is even better than the first two novels in this series. It is very complex, showing even the thoughts of the unnamed bad guy as his frustration rises at his best efforts at killing Anissa fail. Anissa struggles with her finding true calling and the spiritual lessons necessary for her to learn to go forward. I highly recommend One Final Breath, and the other novels in this series, to those who appreciate in-depth Christian thrillers where relationships with the Lord are demonstrated well, suspense is plentiful, and humor is woven throughout grave situations faced. From a thankful heart: I received a copy of this novel from the publisher and NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Each book in this series is great, and each better than the last. With the mix of characters, dive team concept, and plots, I could go on reading books in this series well beyond these three! Ms Blackburn has mastered her trade, and knows exactly how to weave a tale that is nearly impossible to put down. I've been waiting to read Anisssa's (the team leader) and Gabe's story for a long time. Both characters are charming, complex, and people you'd like to call friends. It's hard for an author to accomplish this, but Ms Blackburn has worked at it through her past two books, leading to this one. It was fun watching them come to the realization they have loved each other for some time. While the action just kept coming, it was fascinating to see it alternate between the different threads of the story. It was a delight to see how they were all woven together. As a bonus, Ms Blackburn gave a shout out to Lynnette Eason by bringing in Ms Eason's Brady St John character from her Blue Justice series. Nice touch. If you could only read one book this summer, this would be the one. If you could only read three, go back and read this first two of the series. Enjoy!

Though I couldn’t remember reading anything by Lynn H. Blackburn before, including the first two books in the Dive Team Investigations series, the title and plot of One Final Breath grabbed my interest right away. I don’t like to jump into the middle of a series, and I definitely never read the last book first, but I did it this time and I’m so glad I did! From the very first chapter there is almost non-stop action. I even had a hard time finding a place to pause which, since I read it through in about a day, I obviously didn’t do much. Though a few parts were a little bit confusing since I hadn’t read the previous books, it didn’t make this book any less enjoyable. I love how the author kept the story clean, and I especially love how she brought faith into so much of it; it wasn’t forced or corny. I love it when I find a book that is both exciting and spiritually encouraging. I highly recommend this book! I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

A breathtaking finale The Dive Team Investigations series has come to a breathtaking conclusion with the release of One Final Breath. Wow! What an adventure! I have loved the couples in each of these stories. That they all played a significant role throughout the series made it all the more enjoyable. This exciting finale starts with a bang as the six friends were relaxing on Leigh’s deck. When they hear an unnatural explosion mixed in with lightning from the storm, followed by a cry for help, Gabe, Anissa, and Ryan grab the boat to make a rescue. And discover that a murder has taken place. I don’t recall reading about the process the dive teams used as they scour the bed of the lake in the previous books, at least not as a pair. Watching Gabe and Anissa work the grid together in an attempt to discover the murder weapon in a body of water so murky they could barely see each other was fascinating. Having worked together for years, their growing attraction was no surprise to anyone, except perhaps to Anissa. When both Gabe’s and Anissa’s lives are found to be in danger, the way they determined to help the other was touching and sweet! Despite having close relationships with God, neither Gabe nor Anissa felt like they deserved a relationship or that they knew how to make one work. As they worked together and delved deeper into the mystery surrounding the murder, they learned a great deal about the depth of God’s redemptive power in their lives. Mr. Cook, a friend of Anissa’s family, introduced in Beneath the Surface as a man of prayer, continued to mentor the dive team and show them the love of the Lord and to help them see things more clearly. I think I’ve grown to love him more through each book! One of the great things about his prayers shown in this story is the way it was such a natural conversation with the Lord that would spring out of a conversation with others or end in a conversation, as if He were standing right there. Oh! Wait! He is, isn’t He?! As with this author’s other stories in the Dive Team Investigations series, events that might have been made gory and macabre were kept clean, with only the most necessary of details mentioned. The mood, despite the heart issues being worked on, remained suspenseful yet hopeful and not depressing. While each book does stand alone, now that all the stories are available, lovers of Christian romantic suspense can greatly enrich their reading experience by reading them as a series! QAlthough this is the third book in the Dive Team series, it is the first one that I have read and I really enjoyed it. There were some gaps about the characters that made me wish that I had already read the other two books first, but nothing that was big enough to disrupt my enjoyment. This is the story of Gabe Chavez and Anissa Bell. Gabe is an investigator and Anissa is a dive team captain who are thrown into investigating the same shooting when it happens on the water. Gabe and Anissa have a past that they have to overcome in order to build a romance together, and I enjoyed how Ms. Blackburn built their relationship together slowly. I liked the intriguing plot and the surprising ending; I was not able to guess who the villain was although, upon reflection, Ms. Blackburn did leave subtle clues. This is the first Blackburn book that I have read but it will not be the last because it included all that I look for in Christian romantic suspense. It was a clean read and very satisfying! Fans of romantic suspense will enjoy this book, but I do recommend reading the other two books in the series first. I love Lyn Blackburn’s writing and she has outdone herself with the Dive Team Investigation series. One Final Breath is the third book in the series and I’m going to go out on a limb and say it is the best of the series. Simmering romantic tension between the two lead characters, three investigations with ongoing twists and a strong camaraderie between the Dive team and their respective significant others, makes for a thrilling and fantastic read. Anissa Bell is the Dive Team Captain, so she is familiar with death and murder. But when she and her friends respond to shots fired in the Lake and must rescue a young girl and the young man she was with, it all hits too close to home and brings up some unwanted memories. Together, Anissa and her team, including Investigator Gabe Chavez, must pull together the threads of the case, even when there is little to go on. But when a seemingly innocent event indicates someone is attempting to hurt Anissa, the case gets personal. Gabe and Anissa have been arguing, bouncing off each other and ignoring the depths of their growing feelings for the past two books in this series. They make a great team — even if they sometimes drive each other a little crazy. I loved every moment of their interactions, especially when they are verbally sparing, and watching them grow closer and brave enough to open up about their feelings. But it is not just Gabe and Anissa’s romantic relationship that makes this book so special. Throughout the Dive Team series, we readers have got to know Anissa and her team well. They have such a strong friendship, deep faiths and commitment to finding justice. The mysteries in this book, of which there are many, are both thrilling and intriguing. It was easy to get swept up in the threads of the story. And there was so much in this book. Just when I thought things might be wrapping up, I realised that I was only half way through and there was so much more to come in the story. I thoroughly enjoyed One Final Breath, as I have enjoyed the Dove Team Investigations series. I highly recommend the series, which should be read in series order for maximum effect, to readers who enjoy suspense novels. The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

Dive team captain Anissa Bell has a love/hate relationship with investigator Gabriel Chavez. In One Final Breath, they are thrown together to discover who killed a teenage boy in Lake Porter. Anissa and Gabriel must work through their differences to work as a team to search for clues. As they spend more time together, their feelings change towards each other and grow into something new. Author Lynn H Blackburn is a master storyteller weaving suspense and intrigue throughout the story line. This story will keep you enthralled through every twist and turn.

Since book one in Lynn H. Blackburn’s Dive Team Investigations series, I’ve been rooting for Gabe’s story. Y’all, it’s here and it does not disappoint. Three investigations converge in One Final Breath. And readers finally get to discover what the contention between Gabe and Anissa is all about. If the twists and turns that leave you guessing or the building romance aren’t enough for you, the entire dive team returns. Leah, Ryan, Sabrina, and Adam all step in when needed (including a touch of matchmaking from the ladies and ribbing from the guys. Let’s face it, Gabe deserves a little payback). Blackburn excels at putting the reader into the investigation—from underwater to feet to the pavement—we’re kept in the dark right along with the team until their big break in the case…or is it? After two books, this team is like family and book three is much like a reunion with people you haven’t seen for a while. You don’t want to miss the Dive Team finale. If you haven’t read any of these books yet, now’s the time to savor them all together. Plus, now you won’t have to wait to find out more about Gabe. One Final Breath is the third and final book in the Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn H. Blackburn. While you could probably read this as a standalone, I feel like you would likely get more from the book if you've read the previous. The characters from those books play a rather large part in this one, and having that back story on who they are and their relationships to each other makes the story that much better. While you could likely catch up, I think you might feel a bit lost at points. I have been in love with this series since reading book one nearly a year and a half ago, so I was naturally THRILLED to finally read the last installment... though I must admit, I could read more and more! This book is absolutely fantastic, just as the rest of the series had been. In One Final Breath, we get to see the romance between Anissa and Gabe. Readers who've read the previous book will already be very familiar with these characters, and will enjoy getting the chance to learn more about them and watch their relationship blossom. They'll also love having the chance to see where the couples from the previous books are now too! Romantic suspense is my absolute favorite genre, and Lynn H. Blackburn does it so well. She offers the perfect blend of romance with suspense to keep us intrigued. Though there were parts of the 'whodunnit' that I was able to figure out (vaguely, though not specifically), it for the most part kept me guessing right through the very end. I love a book that keeps me in the dark--- that's part of the fun of suspense! Within that, romance is certainly at the forefront. I love the characters created--- all with their own unique strengths and flaws that really made me as a reader root for them. Being a Christian book, I love how seamlessly faith is weaved into the story. I feel like this series does tend to have a bit more of that content than some other books in the genre might, but it's weaved in very effortlessly as we see the characters pray and talk about their faith throughout. It doesn't come across as preachy to me, but rather how I might imagine these relationships with God would play out given the situations at hand. Overall, this was a fantastic book that I would highly recommend. While I am sad to see the series end, I could not think of a better way to close it out. I will be anxiously awaiting more great stories from this author in the future! **I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for consideration. All thoughts expressed are 100% my own.

“For his part, Gabe was looking at her the way an astronaut looks at Earth. Like he could see his home but couldn’t quite reach it.” Another intense, thrilling romantic suspense from Lynn H Blackburn! And this third book in the Dive Team Investigations series was so worth the wait to finally get the scoop on Anissa and Gabe. Though it can be read as a stand-alone, reading the books in order will make the most sense since the six main characters of the series are closely tied together and each story blends into the next. The author really knows how to weave a great plot with twists and turns, interjecting the villain’s thoughts and actions every so often as the story unfolds. The action is fast-paced and the suspense is top notch, as is her writing. The characters are layered, complex, and captivating. We’ve met Anissa and Gabe previously through the first two books but their past and what propelled them to become who they are get illuminated in this book. Anissa, the daughter of a missionary who is tough and efficient, regrets mistakes of her past and is still trying to find resolution to the kidnapping of a toddler that happened when she was a college student. Gabe, a man with a broken home and past, is usually a light-hearted jokester but strives to help those who are suffering as he had in his youth. When supposedly unrelated homicides converge, Anissa and Gabe are left to work together professionally but also to work through their long-held attraction. Their banter and slow-building romance are quite delightful as are the supporting characters who provide godly wisdom. If you enjoy romantic suspense, this book (and the entire series) is a must-read! I received a copy of the book from Revell and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.

One Final Breath is the third book in the Dive Team Investigation series by Lynn H. Blackburn. We get to see what Gabe Chavez and Anissa Bell encounter to mend their relationship. This couple has had a very rocky start. Anissa is the Dive team captain and was not pleased when Gabe could not keep up with the training exercises because he was undercover. But the situation is about to change as their joint history is explained and Anissa’s background is revealed. While at their team member’s and friend’s house on Lake Porter, the team hears a shot and a shout for help. In the darkness, they rescue a teen and keep a body from being lost in the lake. Quite an opening! The whole team and their friends work together to find out who killed a young man. The clues seem to go in different directions until they find a common thread in Anissa. Can they figure it out before she takes her One Final Breath? The plot has you savoring every page for the twisty plot, the great romance and the way the author weaves spiritual threads throughout the story. The crossover bit with Brady St. John from Lynette Eason ‘s Blue Justice series was great! ( I finished reading them a few weeks ago). This series makes Lynn Blackburn an author to watch. She conveys the story with believable and exciting situations. Her characters are not perfect but find their strength in God. *A copy of this book was provided by Revel Publishers through Interviews and Reviews. One Final Breath is the third installment in Lynn H. Blackburn’s Dive Team Investigations series. One Final Breath functions as a stand-alone novel as sufficient backstory is given. However, I think I would have been more connected to Anissa and Gabe if I had read the other books. As it was, neither the mystery nor romance captured my attention until the middle of the story. One Final Breath’s strength lies in its well-crafted crime/mystery component. The criminal wasn’t easily predictable and I didn’t know the who or why until the story revealed the character and motive. Even once the bad guy was revealed, the suspense built and it was a unique climax. At that point, I was definitely not wanting to put the book down. Getting a peek into the criminal’s mind was a bit creepy. I recommend One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn to readers of romantic suspense who have followed this series from the beginning and are already interested with these characters. Three stars. Disclosure of Material Connection: I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.

Fantabulous!!! My first Lynn H. Blackburn book ever!! and it was a bomb!! I looooooved it and now I will need to go back and read the others as well. So many exciting scenes all wrapped up tight and this author has never missed a beat!! Wow!! Anissa is my favorite!! I really could feel her feelings coming out in this book!! Her bravery is just too awesome! But I guess it comes with the job. She knew what she was getting into when she took it. I want her on my side if I was in trouble!! Gabe is too for that matter! I love his class clown act because it reminded me of myself when I was in school acting like the class clown lol!! His charm just oozes out of the book. But behind all that both Gabe and Anissa are dealing with their own baggage or pain whatever you want to call it. Can Gabe and Anissa overcome their friction enough to work together and solve a mystery/crime? I too loved how the characters looked to God for directions throughout this book. The author has nicely fit that in too. Oh and did I mention that Leigh's cooking will absolutely make you drool and can you guess which on is my favorite meal in the story? Y'all just have to pick up this awesome book to find out!! It's pretty awesome!! My thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book and NO compensations were received. All opinions are my own.

One Final Breath has everything that makes a great suspense-mystery that I was not able to figure out, action and danger, likable, real characters and romantic attraction/friction. I have enjoyed this series that centers around a group of members of the Carrington County, North Carolina Sheriff's Department Dive Team. Lynn Blackburn has created a group of friends who not only work together but enjoy each other's company on their downtime and even attend the same church. This third book is the story of Anissa Bell, dive team captain, and Gabe Chavez, one of the members and former undercover officer. One evening while spending time on Lake Porter at the home of team member Ryan and his wife, Leigh, a nurse, they hear a gunshot. A young man was shot and died as he and his friend are swimming near a dock across the cove. The team is all there so they take a boat out and grab the teenagers but it was too late for the young man. As the team investigates the crime, things start happening to Anissa that are suspicious and eventually it becomes apparent that someone is after her. Gabe and Anissa barely tolerate each other but are actually are attracted to each other so there is tension in their relationship as the stress of the situation amps up. This is a mystery has a complicated plot that kept me guessing to the end and the pages turning. It has a feel good warm resolution to a bad situation. Another winner for the series. I received a complimentary ARC from Revell Publishing through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Every book in this “Dive Team Investigations” series has been entertaining and suspenseful, but this one is now my favorite. I’ve been waiting for Gabe and Anissa’s story, and it was well worth the wait. This book was riveting. There was never a time during the course of the story that you could take a breath and feel that Anissa was safe. I’m not sure which chapter had the most tension—the first chapter or the last one. I loved the complexity of this storyline and the way that all the seemingly random pieces came together at the end. I’ve appreciated the way that each character’s faith in God influenced their actions, and the faith thread in this book fit very naturally into the storyline. This book is a clean and has no steamy scenes. It’s a pleasure to read a great story that has no need of swearing or gratuitous scenes to make it a great book. One more note: You do not need to have read all the other books in the series to appreciate this one. But I predict that after you read it, you’ll want to read them all. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

One Final Breath completes the Dive Team Investigations series by Ms. Blackburn with a bang! The book will leave you guessing what and who until the end. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but you will get to revisit with all of the other characters in the previous two books. This book focuses on Gabriel and Anissa (who are in the previous books as secondary characters). Anissa has secrets from her past that she doesn’t share openly with others, but are what drives her as a dive investigator. If you enjoy romantic suspense books, you will love this latest addition! Another aspect to this book is the theme of forgiveness and grace. Not only must we forgive others, but ourselves. This book had surprising twists and turns! I highly recommend this book. I recommend you have plenty of time set aside to read this, because you will not want to put it down! ***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, this is my own opinion.

Three mysteries converge. Will Dive Team Captain Anissa Bell and Investigator Gabe Chavez solve them before anyone else dies? With the help of their friends and co-workers, they just might, but there will be a multitude of surprises along the way. In addition to providing readers with a wonderful mystery, Blackburn deals with the theme of dealing with one's fears and feelings of inadequacy. I highly recommend this book, this series (Dive Team Investigations), and this author. I am grateful to have received a copy of One Final Breath from Revell Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I was under no obligation to provide a positive review, and received no monetary compensation.

One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn is the third book in her Dive Team Investigations series. Dive Team Captain Anissa Bell and Investigator Gabe Chavez are working together to solve a murder when Anissa’s past catches up with them. As Anissa And Gabe’s feelings for each other deepen, Anissa works to make amends for her past. This is a story of learning to forgive. Not just others but yourself as well. Our past helps shape who we are but we must learn to not let it rule us. This was an explosive story. I was hooked from page one all the way to the end. The characters were warm and supportive but most of all they were “real” people with flaws just as all of us are. We all must learn that God can use us anywhere we are placed. A great suspense story! I received this book from LibraryThing in exchange for my honest review.

“She glared at him for a moment. Oh, he made her so mad sometimes. But then he smiled. And that smile . . . That smile was the thing dreams were made of.” With the perfect blend of romance and suspense, award winning author Lynn H. Blackburn’s highly anticipated conclusion to her popular Dive Team Investigations series will leave readers cherishing the story long after the final page. One Final Breath is an unforgettable tale of forgiveness and grace, the power of friendship, and discovering true love. Ever since I read Beneath the Surface (book one in the series), I have been eagerly waiting for my favorite dive team member, handsome and charismatic Investigator Gabe Chavez, to get his own story. One Final Breath has been my most anticipated book of the year, and it will be on my list of top 10 books of 2019. Gabe and Anissa’s story was definitely worth the wait. One Final Breath can be read as a stand-alone novel, but to fully appreciate the deep friendship between the dive team members and their heartwarming relationships with their significant others, it is highly recommended to read the entire series. You won’t be disappointed! In the stunning conclusion to the Dive Team Investigations series, Investigator Gabe Chavez is determined to uncover the mystery behind the seemingly random homicide of a teenage boy. As the investigation begins, dive team captain Anissa Bell discovers a link to her past and suddenly her life is in extreme danger as she becomes the killer’s next target. As Anissa and Gabe’s relationship quickly heats up after years of animosity toward each other, Anissa’s past and present collide, leaving them in the fight for their lives. One Final Breath is highly recommended for readers of romantic suspense, especially those who enjoy books by authors such as Dani Pettrey, Lynette Eason, Rachel Dylan, Natalie Walters, and Elizabeth Goddard. It is bittersweet to say goodbye to this incredible series and cast of characters, but I will treasure the opportunity to revisit old friends in the future as One Final Breath will enjoy a permanent spot on my keeper shelf. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine. “She’d been pushing him away since . . . well . . . since that first dive. She’d never met anyone like him. She knew his type. So confident. So sure. So . . . dangerous to her heart.”
