Dr. Kardos advanced her career in the chemical industry, where she coached and mentored colleagues of all experience levels. She held roles such as Process Engineer, Manufacturing Technology Specialist, and Section Leader (Technology Deployment) at Infineum (a joint-venture of Exxonmobil and Shell), as well as Sr. Technical Manager at Anderol Specialty Lubricants, a Division of Chemtura Corporation.

In addition to her management and industry experience, Dr. Kardos earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Since the publication of her book, she also launched an online school in October 2015 to help individuals advance their lives and careers: the Lisa Kardos School of Excellence.
