Osamu Sugiyama Mountains

Osamu Sugiyama was born in Tokyo in 1946. He graduated from the Yoshida Hanga Academy, a renowned school for Japanese woodblock prints. His teacher was Toshi Yoshida, the eldest son of Hiroshi Yoshida. Toshi Yoshida taught Japanese and international students in the art of woodblock prints until he became seriously ill in the early 1990s and passed away in 1995.
