No take-backs.

That was the motto that Drew lived by in all things, including his love life.
He's a player, pure and simple.
He's learned the hard way that women aren't all hearts and flowers. Sometimes their sexy bodies and beautiful faces are just a pretty shield to hide the crazy, and he's so freakin' over crazy.
Been there, done that. He has the divorce papers to prove it.

Karma hits like a bitch.

Aspen needs a break. A long one that doesn't include anything with a Y chromosome. Not even one as tempting as her new neighbor who just moved in across the street. Men are trouble with a capital freakin' T, and she has the ankle monitor to prove it.
The last man she gave her heart to was a police officer. A man whose life was dedicated to protection; he was supposed to protect her heart--not break it.
She decides right then and there that she's done with being the better person.

Everything happens for a reason.

A rash decision--undoubtedly regrettable, undeniably unforgettable. In the heat of the moment, Aspen's actions with a tire iron and her ex-boyfriend's brand new SUV land him in the ER getting stitches and have her seeing the inside of a jail cell for the first time.
It's just her luck that the whole town is there to witness the result of her poor decision, including her police officer brother and the neighbor that already made it more than clear she was more trouble than she was worth.
House arrest never looked so good.

Hide your crazy.

Drew enjoyed the show, though. For the first time in a year, he's thinking about his life, and how it would be a lot more enjoyable with a woman like Aspen at his side.
Maybe crazy isn't so bad after all.

Another great story by Ms. Vale, and keep them coming!! It was a 196 nook pages, with some funny parts, (especially Lani's little sayings at the beginning of each chapter- LOVE THOSE!! lol) the steamy chemistry between the Drew and Aspen were off the charts. Also love that the characters from her previous stories make it into her story(s) too, like catching up with all them. Just wondered what happened to Drew's ex (did she ever change her ways towards her daughter towards the end???) Highly recommend ALL her books!! Just about one every month : ) ****

Yet another great story from Lani Lynn Vale. Aspen and Drew are great together, especially when they are "testing" products. Loved Downy and PD. Can't wait for her next book. Loved all the laughs and how intertwined the series are. Hoping to see a book about Raphael. Lani Lynn Vale keeps writing books that keep you hooked and wanting more .

I love all of Ms Vale's books. I really enjoyed how she wrote a romance between 2 strangers even though one was on house arrest. Aspen and Drew defiantly make an awesome couple! Her reference to pop culture and current happenings (ice cream anyone) always make me smile. If you want a quick fun read I highly recommend this book!

4 1/2 out of 5 stars Oxygen Deprived is the third book in the Kilgore Fire Series, but only the second I have actually read which didn’t create any problems at all while reading. It is truly a stand-alone in a series. Drew and Aspen just happen to be neighbors after Drew moves into a new house following his divorce. They start a friendship based partially on need since Apsen is under house arrest and can’t even get to the curb to check her mail or retrieve her trash can. They both feel the attraction, but neither is interested in creating another romance after their last ones failed so epically! Of course, life doesn’t ever go as we expect and they hook up, break up, hook back up and so on. Their story is cute, flirty, dramatic, chaotic and so much more. I loved reading about all of their feelings...this was one of those books where having dual POVs was so great to give the reader a better understanding of where the author saw the characters. I highly recommend any of Ms Vale’s books, but this is a great place to start!! *** I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review ***

Lani Lynn Vale never fails to provide an action packed love story, that mixes just the right amount of sweetness, with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Add in the visits from characters from previous books and I just couldn't put it down!

A little too crude, could go for a little more subtle descriptions.
