Love all the FBI series and the BRIT in the FBI. Great story, as always. Loved the twists and turns. Ty and Sala definitely make a good team. Wouldn’t mind another book with them, see where their journey takes them. Maybe they go their separate ways. Sala thinks his feelings for Ty can’t be real. How can they be? But, can they. Another mystery in Ty’s “backyard” could answer that. Sorry, don’t mean to write the next book. I just love these books. Have read every one of them and many other’s not in these series. Hope you have many more to come. P.S. the Tuttles still give me the creeps.

Another interesting, complicated book in the FBI Thriller series. One of the great things about this series is that there are two story lines going on that usually intertwine in some way. This story begins with someone trying to kill and/or kidnap Sean, Sherlock's and Savich's five year old son. As they figure out who it is from a previous case they were involved in, they become embroiled in the chase for this mentally ill suspect. The second story involves FBI agent Sala Porto, who is missing. His girlfriend has been murdered, witnessed by Police Chief Ty Christie while drinking coffee on her lakeside dock. While dredging for the body, the nets bring up bones, many bones, from the bottom of the lake. The assumption is that a serial killer has been using the lake as a personal dumping ground. Once again, there is a lot of action with some twists. It is fun trying to figure out how the characters and events will eventually fit together. There were new characters who I hope will appear in future books. This story did not end with anyone falling in love, but there was relationship building involved. There is a bit of psychic activity involved (i.e. visions, dreams and gut feelings) but it does not overwhelm the police work. The things that irked me just a bit is that the FBI agents and police are all good looking, extremely fit and well dressed; that is not what most people relate too. The other thing, as mentioned by another reviewer, is the use of the word "bespoke". By the time I read it for about the third or fourth time, I was cringing. Of course I had to look it up to see where it came from and what it meant. Overall I enjoyed this book. I always watch for this series by Catherine Coulter as I know it will be a quick, enjoyable story. I recommend this book to those who enjoy a quick crime/mystery thriller that is sure to entertain. The publisher, Simon & Schuster Canada - Gallery Books, provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions stated are my own.

I love justified revenge: Four Brothers, Carrie, Taken, Remember, True Grit and my all-time favorite The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Now that is some beautifully orchestrated justified revenge! And I can’t wait for Jennifer Garner’s new movie, Peppermint. That one looks awesome! The problem is that everyone who seeks revenge thinks it’s justified. That’s what’s going on in Catherine Coulter’s latest Sherlock and Savich case, “Paradox”. The book begins with a botched kidnapping of their son Sean. While trying to figure out who could want to kidnap him and why, they are called in to assist in another case. Willicott, Maryland’s police chief witnesses a murder early one morning while gazing at the lake from her home. When local officials drag the lake for the body, they discover bones from several bodies. A subsequent search uncovers an odd clue as to whom the bodies may belong. This seemingly idyllic little town has lots of secrets and a creepy murder house to boot! Meanwhile, they discover that the kidnapper may be someone out for revenge and they must stop him before their family and others are devastated. A great read for any Sherlock and Savich fans. Coulter tackles forgiveness and mental illness in this one, too. Good story; this one has a truly satisfying ending! After all, some revenge may truly be justified! #Paradox #CatherineCoulter #NetGalley Publication Date: July 31, 2018 Genre: Thriller, Suspense, Mystery, Kidnapping, Mental Illness Cover: Perfect Rating: 5 stars Source: I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review. Great book! I've really missed Savich & Sherlock! Mike & Drummond are great characters but I feel like this book brought us home to to Savich, Sherlock, their son & friends! Hope we'll be seeing more books like this one soon! A+++++
