Part-Time Husband by Noelle Adams is the first in her new series Trophy Husbands, and a fun and sexy enemies to lovers/marriage of convenience romance. Melissa Greyson has worked hard to make her way into a high position at her family company and nothing is going to derail her plan to stay there, not even a marriage demand from her grandfather. He threatens to cut off the money that her sisters rely on and take away her job and she knows these are not idle threats. Thinking quickly on her feet, she tells him that she has a boyfriend. His response? Marry within the week. Melissa can think of only one man who might be willing to go through with a charade of a marriage if what he'll get in return is a good enough trade – her sometime arch enemy Trevor Bentley. When he'd been shot down for an advertising job at their firm, he'd gone on to do bigger and better things with their competition. He's smug, arrogant – and single. She hopes to convince him to give her marriage deal a chance by offering him a brand new coveted advertising contract. To her relief, Trevor accepts. With a one year deal in hand, their marriage is off to a solid, businesslike start. At first sex is off the table, but they find that the attraction between them is too strong to deny. Can their marriage of convenience turn into a lifetime of love? I always enjoy Noelle Adams sexy contemporary romances and this is a great start to what looks to be a fun series! It's told from Melissa's point of view but we get a good idea of Trevor's character from his actions and words. While Melissa had always thought him to be cocky and over-confident, the truth is that he's had to work hard to get where he is and has done a good job of keeping his real emotions hidden. He regularly spends time with his parents on Saturdays though it's not until a few months into their marriage that Melissa finds that out, and that he left a good job in New York to come back to Charleston to help support them when his father got injured. He's not the arrogant guy she'd always assumed him to be. Their love scenes are very sexy and cement the emotions that they are starting to feel though neither wants to admit that they might be falling for the other. Melissa spends time at a family dinner every weekend and Trevor comes with her, giving her support. Her grandfather is not pleased with her marriage to Trevor as he doesn't like him which makes from some strained times for both of them. It also makes Melissa realize how unfairly she and her sisters have been treated by her grandfather and gives her the courage to stand up to him. While Melissa and Trevor have their ups and downs, and mistakes are made on both sides, they finally are able to admit what they want from each other and get a happy ending that is truly satisfying. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series, and watching Melissa's sisters get their happy ever afters too!

This is a great start of it seems a wonderful series. It is about three sisters have been raised by their grandfather, the CEO of a restaurant chain business. Melissa has lost both of her parents at 14 and her sisters and grandfather are the only family she has. She is a hardworking, independent woman who works in the restaurant chain owned by her grandfather, but it is by choice, even if he is a stubborn, chauvinistic boss. He pressures Melissa into getting married and she decides to propose to her grandfather's ultimate enemy Trevor. He agrees to be her part-time husband and there all the fun begins! This book is a treat! Despite all Melissa's stiffness she is fun, witty and all the story is told in her point of view. She is a different character for Noelle Adams, since she has a special humor to face her problems. Trevor is not your regular hero, he is smug... But at the same time he is caring and has a huge heart for Melissa and his parents. When you read the blurb you may think you have read all the convenience marriage's books. However, this one is a bright take on this with an emotional, fun and witty story.

Another amazing book by Noelle Adams. I was hooked from the very beginning and I just couldn’t seem to put the book down. Melissa might have originally gone to ask Trevor to marry her for the sake of keeping her job and sticking it to her grandfather but as she gets to know Trevor more the more she starts to like him. Trevor might come across as an arrogant as*hole but deep down he is a really nice, sweet and kind person. Their relationship might have started as pretend but that soon changes and feelings start to develop. Trevor and Melissa might not have planned to fall in love but in the end when it’s meant to be it’s meant to be. I really enjoyed reading this book. It kept me entertained and I can’t wait to read more of Noelle Adams’ work. A must read! ***Received this ARC by NetGalley as an exchange for an honest review.

I loved it. This is my first Noelle Adams book and what a great story. It's got all the feels and emotion that comes from two people who are in an odd position and while growing closer neither will admit their vulnerability. I loved Trevor and Melissa both, great characters and fantastic plot. Trevor drops some one liners that really made me laugh and even managed to make Melissa laugh. She's wound so tight and Trevor manages to help her relax. In more ways than one and God help her she really needed it. I'd take Trevor any day, smug or not. These two were a great match and despite the circumstance I thought they were perfect. You read the blurb, now read the book and get the full story of how this comes about and watch their relationship unfold and soak up some steam while you're at it. Fantastic read! **arc from NetGalley and Publisher for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own**

Oh my gawd, I loved this story!!! It was everything I enjoy in a marriage of convenience book! In order to save her job with her grandfather’s company, Melissa must come up with a husband. Fast. After a meeting with her sisters, she has the perfect candidate. Trevor Bentley is an obnoxious, smug so-and-so and the one man that grates on her grandfather’s nerves more than anyone else. Unfortunately, she doesn’t like Trevor one bit and the feeling is mutual. With a lucrative “business” proposal in hand, she asks him to marry her. What follows is all the wonderful, mixed emotions and sexy times that a marriage of convenience can offer. Written completely in the heroine’s point of view, there is no doubt that the hero has more than just business on his mind. I loved how Trevor was all into Melissa. I’ve read books with dirty talkers and just during sex dirty talkers, but Trevor gave a whole new meaning to the word. His wasn’t your usual dirty talk, his was all about his lady. Sigh. Totally swoon worthy ladies! I especially enjoyed reading the emotional changes that took place within Melissa. She had built walls around her and Trevor’s smirky obnoxiousness, the thing that she had initially despised, were the tool that slowly crumbled them. And when he messes up. Holy heck he gave good grovel. Not all of it verbally, but sometimes remaining strong and steadfast is the best form of grovel. Sigh…again. This was such a fun and totally enjoyable read, fast paced with well-developed secondary characters and steam that will singe your fingers where you hold the page. The resolution is not a blink and it’s over but oh so perfect as it fit in with this hero and heroine. And the epilogue left me with a happy sob and then a giddy smile. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Melissa and Trevor are so wrong, they're abundantly right. She needs a favor. He fits the bill. It's that simple. Of course simplicity is life at it's most complicated. He's the man she loves to hate. She's the woman he longs to know. What happens when fake marriage takes a detour into real love? A beautifully complex romance. Adams does understated with a powerful voice.
