Pathway to Transformation: The Baha'i Journey

The human race has entered a new stage in its collective development. Faced with both unprecedented perils and extraordinary opportunities, it becomes increasingly clear that we cannot avoid the spiritual and social challenges of jointly building a peaceful and progressive planetary civilization that embraces all its peoples. We are already inextricably engaged in a process of global transformation that affects both our inner lives and external conditions.

Pathways to Transformation was first published in 2001 and is primarily a compilation selected from the authoritative writings of the Bahá'í Faith. Its importance lies in its systematic presentation of the aims and vision of Bahá'u'lláh, and of the approach to individual and collective learning adopted by the Bahá'í community in working to fulfil them.

The second edition expands and updates the earlier text, adding chapters on developing capacity for service through the institute process, community building in clusters, contributing to the world community through social action, participating in the discourses of society, and ending the curse of war and its miseries.
