Overview

Audience: The authors intend this book for interventional radiologists who treat children and for trainees who aspire to work in this field. It seems most appropriate for advanced radiology residents, IR fellows, or attendings looking to specializing in pediatric IR. The authors are well published in the field of pediatric interventional radiology.
Features: The book covers the gamut of pediatric interventional radiology, noting how a procedure differs when performed in a child compared to an adult. It includes excellent detail and tips, including such small points as heparin locking and dressing change. The book's use of illustrations of key points in procedures as well as photographs of instruments, such as catheters, drive home the details and enable a deeper understanding than just written descriptions would.
