Peter Arundell was a very versatile race driver whose Formula One career was cut short by an accident he sustained in France in 1964. Arundell debuted as a Formula One driver in 1963 a year after he won the Formula Junior title. The Ilwich native returned to Formula One in 1966 for eleven races. Peter also raced Touring Cars in an era when Lotus-Cortinas, Galaxie 500s, and Mustangs were fielded by various teams.
