Princess Sophie needs a vacation from her life, so she escapes to a small U.S. town she remembers from a childhood vacation to live as an ordinary person for a few weeks. Steve is a hardworking electrician and guardian to five orphaned children, who depend on their Uncle Steve for affection and security. Their story charmed me with its lovable characters, strong storyline, and sparkling family relationships. Karen Templeton populates this book with parents, friends, children, and animals--each with his or her own voice and personality. Sophie's spunk and humor as she learns how to be 'ordinary' make her unforgettable. This is a marvelous love story that belongs on the shelf of every true romantic.
