If you have not done yourself the pleasure of reading Hills' collection of short stories, 20th Century Ghosts, you should. If you do not usually read short stories never fear, these works are as satisfying as a novel, which is a huge compliment to the authors' skills. The stories are hugely varied, but one story still stands out- Pop Art. I am not going to give anything away about this stunning story. Let me just say that for a long while I carried this story with me and made at least 10 friends read it. A gift. Read this story right now. Then buy the whole book and read it again.

This is a wonderfully creative story about a boy and his best friend, who happens to be inflatable. No matter how many times I reread this story, it still amazes me. Joe Hill writes with truth, humor and heart. I have read this story to many people, just to share it with them.
