Possessed by a Vampire by Susan Griscom

They possess the power to make their dreams come true--but it won't be easy.

Preston Knight--Elvis to his friends--loves being a vampire. The night he was turned was the first step to him becoming the kind of man he always hoped to be. Now, he's a rock star. What could be better? But the one thing that would make his world complete is just out of reach. The woman he yearns for has some serious secrets, and despite him knowing that she wants him just as much as he wants her, she won't let him in.

Lily Grey never asked to be a vampire. The choice was taken from her eons ago, and things never improved. Now, she finds herself peddling drugs on the streets of San Francisco and playing the part of doting wife to a possessive and sadistic vampire with delusions of grandeur. But family means everything to Lily, and she's willing to sacrifice everything for it...even her one chance at happiness with the sexy-as-sin vampire who sets her heart ablaze.

When one night of passion opens the door for a century of secrets to be revealed, Lily and Preston must fight for not only what they believe in but also what they love.

Reviewed by Natasha Jackson for Readers' Favorite Possessed by a Vampire: Immortal Hearts of San Francisco Book 4 is the story of two very different vampires. Preston, known as Elvis to his friends, has loved it from the moment he made the transition. But Lily never wanted it, didn’t ask for it and resents the hell out of being a vampire. He is a live life by the seat of his pants musician and she is slightly naïve, sweet and trapped by her maker into living a life she doesn’t want. When they meet, there is something powerful and visceral about their connection. Susan Griscom does a really good job of painting the picture of their connection. She highlights the instinctive protective nature that rises up in good time guy Elvis when it comes to Lily. Too bad, Lily is deeply connected to another. The attraction in Possessed by a Vampire is instantaneous and I felt totally okay with that. Especially because there was a long past to get through before we could even get a glimmer of hope for Elvis and Lily. Lily’s life hasn’t been a happy one since she was turned into a vampire but the one bright spot is Elvis. However, her heart is not free and that’s the major conflict in this story. They had to dig into the past to figure out how to beat the current threat so they could live many, many lives together. To flesh out the story, Susan Griscom has given us a cast of supporting characters to love and hate in this thrilling adventure to the end.

This was a well-written, fun, sexy book. Lily was turned into a vampire against her will. Now she is being forced to play thew wife of a vampire with delusions of grandeur. She meets Preston Knight, a vampire and a rock star, who makes her feel things she never thought she would have the opportunity to experience. Preston knows he is in love with her, even though she has secrets. This book can be read as a standalone, though it is the fourth book in the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading other books in this series as well as other books by this author.

Preston loves Lily, but he knows nothing about her. He has been seeing her for a few months, but she is a complete mystery. Lily is under the thumb of a sadistic vampire. She is forced to do many things she doesn't want to do, but she has to stay because of her brother, Julian. Preston and Lily are surprised to find they have one thing in common. Preston and his friends have to find a way to get Lily and Julian away from their captor.
