Sickly sweet illustrations by Eloise Wilkin. Traditional prayers for young children, with writers like Emerson, Rossetti, and Coleridge, and some traditional hymn words. Archaic language (thee, loveth, etc.) is somewhat of a barrier to understanding for young children.
