About the Author

Author Rashawn Johnson was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. His stepfather taught him some things about the Bible.

Johnson began to learn more about the Bible throughout the years and how to submit himself to God and resist the devil. His love for God would eventually lead him to Acts 2:38 and he was born again from water and spirit. His prayer life didn’t begin until after he fulfilled his calling to get re-baptized in the name of Jesus.

Johnson’s prayer life began one night, as he was half-asleep. He heard a voice. It was the sound of many waters.

In this book, Johnson talks about how God gave him his gift and how he surrendered himself to God.

Today, Johnson continues on writing. He possesses the necessary biblical knowledge from God to write prayers and poetry. He has an intimacy with God and a calling on his life. This book is a must for believers and non-believers.

Johnson likes camping, writing and worship music.

Prayers and Poetry, the book sent by God, is both inspirational and religious to its character. It is clear that the author has gone through a journey, through the Bible and through life, and maybe this book is the result. It is pretty interesting in itself to read something written by someone who has such a strong belief, and I can absolutely understand why the author is an Award-winner. This book has helped me realize a lot about what is important in life and has taught me how to strengthen my belief and relation to God. The book contains both motivational phrases and different ways of practices to get closer to the spirituality, as well as come through the imaginary walls one have built around oneself. I think the book is very important when one is on its way to choose direction: to be with God and to resist the Devil. I'll finish this review with a quote from Romans 10:9: ”If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” And you will.

Reviewed by Mamta Madhavan for Readers' Favorite Prayers & Poetry: Empowering Readers by Rashawn Johnson is a thought-provoking book with words from the author that are insightful and will connect you intimately with God. The book will make us go deep into prayer and will help us to reach out to others and save souls in the Kingdom of God. The author channels his experiences into words and he will show readers through his words how to build their faith in Christ, bring healing into their lives, develop a good relationship with Jesus Christ, bring peace into their lives, overcome temptation, and deliver them from all fear and transgressions. The book is an excellent guide and tool for motivation, inspiration, and deep understanding of the Christian faith. I found the book helpful when it came to communicating with God and it shows us how one can actually talk with God, person to person, and how He can touch, talk, and see us with His divine presence. The prayer and poetry aid in the book is good inspiration and encourages readers, pulling them into divinity and helping them to grow in their words, renew their minds, and surrender everything to God. The author understands the Christian religion and poetry, and that is evident from this book. It is a good read for all those who want to feel the power and presence of God in their thoughts. Both believers and non-believers will benefit from this book as the author’s intimacy with God is uplifting to read.
