Oh the twists and turns! This assignment starts off with a bang and doesn’t let up. The suspense is great and the case is so interesting. Just when I think things are going to slow down for Nikki, she is taken on another thrilling ride. She doesn’t get much room to breathe and yet she is able to summon the strength to follow every clue to find the missing woman. Full review is at my website. I received this book complimentary in a giveaway. I was not required to give a review. All of the opinions I have expressed are my own.

An action packed romantic suspense novel! The case that Nikki is working on is a stand alone storyline. To get the full enjoyment out of this book though the series should be read in order to be able to follow the details of Nikki’s personal life. I love the depth of the main character. Nikki has more problems thrown at her over the course of this book than anyone should have to face. Yet she holds on to her sanity and remembers to ask God for the strength, and everything else, she needs. I really like the amount of personal life issues that crop up too. She has to try and balance work with them just like we all do. The plot was great! It moved quickly with plenty of twists and turns to keep the readers guessing. Early on the identity of the bad guy is revealed but it only made it more exciting in my mind to see how the story would play out.

Anyone who likes suspense will love this fast-paced book by Lisa Harris! Nikki Boyd is a gutsy member of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation who does what is necessary to rescue missing persons. This book begins with Nikki being on board during a plane crash and the danger continues throughout the book! I just may have checked the locks on my doors a couple of times while reading Pursued! Although part of a series, Pursued was great as a stand alone title. I recommend Pursued to anyone who enjoys suspense! I received a free copy of the book from the Revell Book Spotlight Giveaway. This is my honest opinion.

Nikki Boyd is heading home to Nashville after a job. Her flight is routine and uneventful, until the plane crash lands at the airport. Although shaken up, Nikki is fine. However, she discovers the woman who sat next to her is missing. When questioning about the woman she is told Erika Hamilton is not on the flight manifest. Nikki is plunged into a missing persons case where she first needs to prove there is a missing person. This is Book Three of the Nikki Boyd Files and once again, Lisa Harris does not disappoint. I have become a huge fan of this series and when I see the new one is coming out I wait as patiently as possible. I love mysteries and action and this series delivers on both. I am definitely looking forward to Book Four. (As a side point, I do suggest reading these in order so as not to get confused on Nikki’s personal events). *I received this book free from Revell in exchange for my honest review. What I have expressed are entirely my own thoughts.*

Lisa Harris 's Pursued Dive into a faced paced story of suspense, intrigue, mystery, vivid characters, murder, a plane crash and a missing woman. Nikki Boyd is traveling home to Nashville. She strikes up a conversation with the passenger next to her before the crash then can not find her after the crash except for her diamond watch. Nikki is Special Agent Nikki Boyd, an investigator for the Missing Person Unit in Nashville. When she tries to find the woman's full name, Nikki discovers that the seat next to her's on the plane was unoccupied according to the airlines. She also discovers the man in the window seat was a Federal Marshal. He died during the crash. But was he a real agent?? When was he on the plane next to the missing woman? The FBI needs Nikki's help in locating the missing woman. Will she be able to help? Who broke into Nikki's house?? What is happening?? The story has a plot that was flawless, exciting and kept the reader on the edge of their seat. Highly recommend this book. I volunteered to read this book. Thanks to the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.

Pursued is an action-packed suspense! I am a fan of this exciting series and always enjoy the race against the clock that Nikki faces. While the suspense thread stands alone, the characters and their story lines continue to grow and develop. Along with the urgency of the missing persons case, I enjoyed the progression of Nikki’s relationship with Tyler and look forward to the next Nikki Boyd novel. I received a complimentary copy of this book. No review was required, and all thoughts expressed are my own.

I loved the plotline... searching, searching, grasping, and finally, the thriller ending. I thought it was interesting the way that Harris strategically laid the evidence, making it stretch until the very last chapter. I loved that. Erika, my friends, is a very hard person to find. And Lily is even harder to find. The characters were personable and interesting. I liked learning more about them through this book. Nikki was driven, her team was fun, and the bad guys... well they were motivated. Quite interestingly motivated, lol. But that only made it fun. Her relationship... well, I've begun to see more of these. A friend or sibling dies, and then one of the characters falls for their widow(er). The relationships always set me off a little bit, mostly because I'm not sure how I would do that. Obviously I love my siblings and friends, but then somehow I get over their deaths and marry the person they loved? I'm not sure I could do that without seeing them in their spouse... but, I mean, the book characters seem to be doing it fine, so... I don't know. I liked the way the story started, and the ending was slightly sad, but also heartwarming. I think it'll be a good read for any sort of day. If you ever get a chance to pick it up at your library... be sure to do so! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

From the first sentence till the last, this was a wild ride. Full of suspense, mystery and danger. It was so well written that I could picture it as a movie with great dialogue. Not overly descriptive, just enough to make you realize the surroundings or what the character looks like. The main focus for me was the communication and interaction between the characters. The story itself kept me mesmerized. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Nikki, who is an agent for the Tenneessee Bureau of Investication, starts with a plane crash in which she survives but discovers the lady in the seat next to her goes missing. She is thrown into a case with the FBI, to look for the missing woman. She is an important witness against her former boyfriend, who is on an FBI wanted list. Nikki gets in some very close calls, almost losing her life more than once. The story takes place in a matter of fourty eight hours and Nikki is running on pure adrenaline at the end. How many people involved will lose their life before the fourty eight hours is over? Will the missing woman ever be found and why did she vanish seemingly into thin air? All this time Nikki is thinking of her new relationship with Tyler. All she wants to do is find the woman, get some rest and see Tyler. Shortly after the plane crash she got some devastating news from her doctor. With no real time to act on it, she worries if the news will affect her relationship with Tyler. I've read another Nikki Boyd book and it was just as good as this one. I've even got two more of Lisa's books on order. I received this book from the publisher and was not required to write a review, positive or otherwise.

Suspense at its finest. Loved all the twists and turns in this story. Loved the characters and could really get into what Nikki Boyd was thinking and feeling. I would love to have more stories with Nikki and her team and of course Tyler and Liam. Can't wait to read another book from this awesome author.

PURSUED, by Christy Award winning author, grabs your attention and you don't want to stop reading until you finish the entire book. Even though it is the third book in a series, it reads well as a stand-alone. The suspense is what drives the read and it begins right away when special agent Nikki Boyd is on a plane that has a crash landing. The worst part is that her seatmate disappears and she can't find her anywhere. The man sitting on the window side of the woman is dead, but not from the crash - and he happens to be an air marshall. Something is not adding up, and when Nikki tries to find the woman, there is no record of her having been on the plane. Nikki is asked to help with the investigation and readers should get ready for a superb ride through a captivating, suspenseful book. I received this book from the publisher, Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, and the opinions written are my own.

I have been looking forward to Pursued since I read its excerpt last year at the end of Missing. This story was an adrenaline rush. Starting with the crashed airplane that Nikki was on; her day goes from pretty bad to worst. And then some more bad happens, a lot. I actually felt really bad for her and if it were me I would have went off with new hunky boyfriend/ best friend Tyler for the rest of the day. But no, Nikki becomes a key witness and the best possible hope in a missing person’s case of the woman who was sitting right next to her on the plane. This was jam packed with excitement, danger, and Nikki’s emotions are all over the place. Not only is she dealing with this new missing person case, but she has also received some devastating personal news. This was a very quick read; my only complaint is I was really hoping for more of Nikki and Tyler time. I am hoping that they get their own story, together. I am looking forward to the next in the Nikki Boyd Files where the synopsis tells us that we will finally get the answer we have been waiting for this entire series, the reason Nikki Boyd is who she is: what happened to her missing sister. I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and the views and opinions expressed are my own. Bring on the next adventure!

I love Nikki Boyd. I hope I don't have a day like hers. To first get in a plane wreck and then get pulled in to a missing persons case. Her day just keeps going from there. There are many twists and turns throug this book. I love the suspense in this story. There is just a tad of romance also. This is a great story. I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

This new book in The Nikki Boyd Files series by Lisa Harris is a thrilling, mind -bending journey into the work of Missing Persons Detective Nikki Boyd, who in the opening salvo goes on a plane ride that will change the course of her life. In Pursued, author Lisa Harris untangles various webs of money, murder, and dangerous criminal activity that come to light as Detective Boyd can't seem to put down her knack for finding out the right clues to the case. This is my first knack at the Nikki Boyd files books and I was clearly impressed. What was notable about the book was its fast paced and detailed approach to solving the case of the missing lady who was to testify in a court case. Further, there was enough detail in the book to keep you on the edge of your seat but not too many extraneous details or unnecessary fleshing out of the characters in lewd or inappropriate ways. The plot seemed to move along seamlessly as Nikki picks up clue after clue after coming close to death after her plane crashes before landing safely. The interesting aspect of Nikki's character is her uncanny notion that every little incident matters to the case, including those memories that were fuzzy but come back to the surface after time. After surviving the crash, Nikki pieces together her encounter with the woman at the back of the plane and her efforts to free her from her seatbelt. As time elapses, Nikki is confronted with the truth of this woman and her desire to make a better life for her family, even amidst the string of trouble that was skirting all around her at the time. Nikki begins to chase after the clues to the missing person just as the perpetrators are pursuing Nikki in order to end her life. Overall, the book was a good detective story that was fast-paced and kept you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Thanks to Revell Books for the copy of this in exchange for an honest review. Share

Lisa Harris gives us a story with more twists than O. Henry! Don't bother trying to guess. Just allow yourself to be swept up in this thrilling ride! I do just want to note that there are some hard deaths in this story. Nothing extremely graphic, but that doesn't make it any less difficult. The story starts with an airplane crash that makes me seriously reconsider ever flying again! Once Nikki is pulled into the missing person case for her fellow passenger, her life is put on the line again and again. This case is personal is so many ways. Even though Nikki is a seasoned agent, she's a human being, so seeing her struggle with her near death and the hard-hitting angles of the case proved to be realistic. In the midst of Nikki's desperate search, she learns to let go of the plans she has for the future with Tyler...and trust God. In case I've worried anyone, Nikki and Tyler sitting in a tree... ; ) Four Stars! Action packed!! This might be my favorite book in the series. If you like a suspenseful story with a little romance, then you must read this story. Each story is its own separate mystery, however, since there are elements in the backstory and romance that build in each book, I recommend reading Vendetta and Missing first. To my knowledge, this is the last novel in The Nikki Boyd Files. HOWEVER, Vanishing Point: A Nikki Boyd Novel, releases November 7th, 2017. The story is told from a different perspective. Also, rumor has it that we will finally learn what happened to Nikki's sister, Sarah. I. Can't. Wait. I received a copy of Pursued by Lisa Harris from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group. All opinions expressed are my own.

Lisa Harris returns with another fast-paced, high stakes case for her heroine Nikki Boyd. Anticipation pulses through Nikki as her flight nears the Nashville airport. Excitement over her reunion with Tyler instantly turns to fear when an explosion sends her plane plummeting to the ground. In the aftermath, Nikki searches for the woman who had been sitting next to her on the plane, only to find to discover the airlines has no record of Erika. That’s when the FBI steps in… If you’ve read the other books in this series, you know how driven Nikki is to find these missing persons. 10 years after her sister’s abduction, these cases continue to be personal vice duty—they’re her obsession. Either fearless or foolhardy, she presses forward; determined to beat Erika’s pursuer to his mark. Up to this point, I’ve enjoyed the pace of Nikki and Tyler’s relationship, expecting Pursued to be a turning point for them. Those who’ve been hanging on for the romance will find love deferred once again. However, suspense junkies will thrill over how much action Harris packs into 48 hours! I received a copy of this book from the publisher, a favorable review was not required of me. All opinions expressed are my own.

I survived a plane crash.  The turbulence was terrible on this flight. I was seated on Row 29 on a flight into Nashville when the plane dipped, and a deafening explosion rocked the back of the Airbus. My shoulder slammed against the seat as the plane skidded for several seconds as the pilot tried to save us. Baggage tumbled, the air smelled like smoke and burning plastic. The woman in the middle seat clutched my forearm. "I think he is dead. The man next to me. He's dead" she said. Lisa Harris is an amazing writer, and this is the first book written by her that I have read.  I felt that I was her, Nikki Boyd, the main character in this fast action book filled with twists and turns. I love a book that opens up my imagination and allows me to close my eyes and picture myself as that character, this book did just that. I felt her every move, her every thought, and even her pain and frustration. Ms. Harris is a great story teller, every word on every page was easily absorbed, creating a picture in my mind of each place, person and situation Nikki Boyd found herself in. I couldn't put this book down.  Nikki Boyd is sitting next to a woman on this plane that holds the key to this entire mystery. Only she disappears right after the plane crash leaving behind a broken bracelet that Nikki finds. This bracelet is the first in a mystery that even the FBI can't figure out. Nikki also has a personal love story, a missing sister, and and a determination that is unmatched. Just as I thought I had the answer, a new twist, including a prison kidnapping would change my mind, I would find myself starting over trying to help Nikki solve this case and find this woman. So many times, I felt like I was there beside her and as determined as she was.  I don't want to go into detail about this story, because unraveling this story is the real pleasure of this book. It is fast, as this story takes place in only 48 hours.  Pursued - The Nikki Boyd Files is the third book in the Nikki Boyd Files series. It is published by Revelle, a division of Baker Publishing so I knew it would be a well made book, one that I would enjoy holding in my hands, feeling every page. Revelle is a great publisher and I am a big fan of their books. This book is categorized as Fiction, Romantic Suspense. You will find no bad words, no vulgarity. Another reason why I am a fan of Revelle. The type is larger than most and the spacing is wide enough that it is a very good quality book, even though it is a paper book, the cover is embossed, sturdy and beautiful. The quality of paper and binding makes this book a great gift. You can learn more about Lisa Harris, the author on her website www.lisaharriswrites.com. Her books are available in ebooks, bookstores and on-line. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I really didn’t think this series could get any better, but it did. Pursued was a fantastic suspense novel from start to finish. Before I get into all the ins and outs, let me tell you a little of what it’s all about. Nikki Boyd is ready to pursue a long-term relationship with the man of her dreams. Tyler is finally back from his three-month work trip to Liberia and she’s on her way to meet him back home in Nashville when suddenly her plane crash-lands. Understandably shaken from the traumatizing event, things go from bad to worse when the police tell her that the woman who was sitting next to her doesn’t exist. Worried she might literally be losing her mind, she dives head-first into finding the missing woman. Thus begins an action-packed case — involving a prison riot, murder, and a kidnapped child — that leaves Nikki exhausted but resolute in pursuing justice to the best of her ability. Lisa Harris never disappoints. Every time one of her suspense novels release, I feel like a kid in a candy store. If you’ve read my previous reviews for Vendetta and Missing, you know how much I adore this series…and how much I ship Nikki and Tyler. Meaning the excitement level was especially high when this book came out. Although we didn’t get a lot of Nikki/Tyler time, this thrill ride of a story was enough to keep me plenty engaged. I loved exploring more of what was going on in Nikki’s head, like her fears, hopes, and desires. The characters in this series have always felt incredibly genuine and emotion-driven, adding greatly to an already killer story. The whole book takes place in a matter of a couple days and the non-stop action is enough to leave you breathless! Pursued is a brilliantly executed romantic thriller filled with intense action and clean romance. If you’re a fan of the genre, you won’t want to miss the Nikki Boyd Files. I am highly anticipating the next in this nail-biting series, Vanishing Point. *I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Pursued was a roller coaster of a suspense novel! It was absolutely packed with action. The main character, Nikki Boyd, was plunged into danger time and again as she desperately tried to solve her latest case. Pursued is the third book in the Nikki Boyd Files series. The main storyline in this novel, which is one of a missing woman, could stand alone. Yet I believe that the underlying character and relationship growth between Nikki and Tyler would be better understood by reading all of the books in order. This novel was truly packed with action and suspense! It was almost non-stop, yet believable. I’m really looking forward to book four in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"I'm not ready to die, God. Not yet." (13) Another fast-paced adventure by Lisa Harris. Pursued is the third novel in The Nikki Boyd Files series, and I was looking forward to this one for some time. Why? I want to find out what happened to her sister, Sarah, many years ago. And unfortunately for fans like me, we will not find out in this book. I was quite disappointed as it seem we would be left in the dark, thinking this will be the last of The Nikki Boyd Files. I am wrong. The next book, Vanishing Point will release towards the end of the year, and it will finally provide answers to that mystery that started in Book 1 as a back story to Nikki. Back to the current storyline, Pursued was intense. From the first pages we encounter a plane crash with more questions than answers as Nikki tries to find the lady that was sitting next to her. Nikki is her stubborn self when we witness her trying to piece everything together, and when lives are on the line, will she find strength to pursue or lose more than her life? Honestly, this may be my favorite one from The Nikki Boyd Files so far. It has action and intrigue with clues that scatter throughout, along with twists after twists. If you love suspense, this is one. The romance was fairly downplayed in my opinion, but I love the suspense part for sure. Now, I'm really looking forward to the next one! Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and have not been compensated for this. This is my honest opinion.

love Lisa Harris's book, she never disappoints me. This book was no exception. She has written a great book full of romance, suspense and mystery. I never had a dull moment while reading. Even in the moments that weren't filled with fast-paced tension we were in the mind of Nikki and getting a deeper look at all that was going on with her and her struggles. This is the third book in the series, however, I do think you could read this one as a stand-alone but I think it might be easier to follow if you had read the first two. There is definitely a lot of fishy stuff going on and I even began to wonder who could Nikki really trust. The people she should have been able to seemed to be holding back on her. The mystery of Nikki's sister is in this one still, lingering and I hope to see it resolved soon. I keep thinking there isn't much hope of Sarah being alive, but ya know never what Lisa will cook up in her next book and how she will resolve this crime. If you love romantic suspense I am sure you will enjoy this book. A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher. All opinions are my own.

It is always a roller coaster ride when I read a Lisa Harris novel. She packs so much adventure and suspense into the pages and the characters are so likeable - unless, of course, they are the villains. The Nikki Boyd series has this TBI agent pursuing the bad folks and this pursuit is colored by her own personal family history where she lost a younger sister to a terrible crime. She has deep concern and compassion to those affected by similar crimes and viciously and determinedly pursues the culprits. In Pursued the characters on the run are a mother and her young daughter who are trying to escape the clutches of the girl's father and his vast criminal involvement. The chase involves one terrible incident after another with Nikki barely escaping serious injury or death. Her climbing skills are again called into play as she rappels down a mountain to check on an automobile accident victim. This book is easy reading that is suspenseful and action packed. The Christian element is there in the moral compass of the characters and their mention of praying. No preaching or lengthy Biblical passages. A good, clean read. Heart Pounding Action! Nikki Boyd, a special agent for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), is flying in to Nashville to reunite with boyfriend, Tyler, when her plane crash lands. In the chaos that follows Erika, the woman Nikki befriended on the flight, disappears. Nikki’s feeling that something is wrong is confirmed when the FBI approaches her to help them find Erika. Despite Tyler’s unhappiness that Nikki is letting herself get entangled in a complicated case, she jumps at the chance to work with the FBI. This leads her into one dangerous situation after another. Before it is all over Nikki will be involved in a hostage situation at a prison, rappelling down a mountain to help a crash victim, and following a charming and handsome philanthropist that the public feels can do no wrong. During this time, she also gets a disturbing medical diagnosis that she fears could end the relationship she has with Tyler. Will the abduction of Nikki’s sister be resolved, or will the family get some kind of closure? After a three month absence, has Nikki and Tyler’s relationship suffered, or will they move forward? Can Nikki continue to do this kind of work without it becoming too personal for her? This is the third installment in the series, The Nikki Boyd Files, but this story can stand on its own without reading the other books. Pursued starts with a bang, and never slows down. It is a story that will capture you from the first page. There is lots of action along with twists and turns, so this tale will really keep you on the edge of your seat. The author shows her talent by doing all of this, yet keeping the book clean and including references to God in a very natural way. I recommend this 5-star book to anyone who likes exciting stories or well-written Christian fiction. The author has provided bookreadingtic with a complimentary copy of Pursued for the purpose of review. All opinions expressed are my own. ** “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” ** Nikki Boyd, a special agent with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Missing Persons Task Force, finds herself on a very bumpy plane ride — an explosive one you might even say. And with that, Lisa Harris’ “Pursued” turns into an action-packed story filled with bombings, murders, kidnapping, hostage situations, and pursuits — by both the good and bad guys. When Erika, the woman sitting next to Nikki, disappears immediately after their plane crashes, Nikki is brought in by the FBI to search for Erika, who is a material witness set to testify against her money laundering boyfriend. “Pursued” is a very fast book, taking place over a very brief time period — about 48 hours. Nikki and her partners, Jack and Gwen, work diligently to find both Erika and the man she’s supposed to testify against — Brian Russell, a man most people think of as a highly respected philanthropist. Nikki must put aside her own emotions to solve the case, and solve it before it’s too late. And while all this drama is going on, Nikki is dealing with wanting to reconnect with Tyler after his three-month trip to Liberia, and to see if and where their relationship is heading — as well as dealing with a health issue that could sideline their relationship. Besides being an awesome romantic thriller filled with great characters, “Pursued” addresses several great themes — how to deal with feeling like you are out of control; a need for peace; and worrying, and its impact on you; and finding the strength you need in your darkest moments. It also reminds us that God is always in control, and that He always knows the answers, sometimes even before we know what the question is. Lisa Harris has delivered another great thriller, with just the right amount of romance. It’s hard to put down! Five stars out of five. Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group, provided this complimentary copy for my honest, unbiased review.

I recently finished reading Pursued by Lisa Harris. What a page turner! I think this was my favorite book in this series! Nikki Boyd is back, and with an even more complex and intriguing mystery than ever before! I really enjoyed following along as Nikki put all the pieces together and refused to back down from the case. The plot and mystery in this book were unpredictable and fast-paced, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. While I'm normally a big romance fan, this particular series doesn't do much for me in that department, despite the efforts. There's just something about the two main characters that doesn't stir in me a strong connection or investment in their relationship. For instance, the main romantic conflict in this book I found to be a tad trite. To me, it felt that Nikki wasn't putting enough faith in their relationship. Although I can imagine a situation like the one presented would be difficult, I never once felt that her worries were rooted in reality. With that being said, I still enjoyed the main portion of the story, and I would recommend it to fans of thrillers and mysteries. I received this book from the publisher, but I was in no way required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own.
