About the Author

Lisa Muchnik is a nurse anesthetist and certified yoga instructor specializing in aerial yoga. Although she works in the medical field, she has a strong love and appreciation for holistic healing. Therefore, she strives to bring these modalities into her life and the lives of those around her. She also has a degree in dietetics and, along with her husband, loves to make healthy plant-based recipes at home. Intuition led this mother of two to fulfill her dream of writing a children’s book and combining it with her passion for chakras. Lisa lives in New York with her husband, daughter, and son. 

Emilie Timmermans is a professional daydreamer. Her dreams inspire surprising, colorful worlds with endless landscapes, characters in diverse formats, and funny situations. Emilie’s drawings can be found in cartoons and children’s books. Since 2008, she has been working for studios and publishing companies in Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Luxembourg.

Mommy sits him down and tells him that while he is black and white on the outside, there is a rainbow of color wheels inside him. Starting with the red energy of the root chakra that keeps him grounded and connects him with the Earth, she rhymes her way through a description of each chakra in four-line stanzas (green and purple get two stanzas each). Little Panda is happy afterward and sees the rainbow within each time he looks in the mirror. Though Muchnik’s text contains some big words that might spur questions from little meditators, Timmermans’ illustrations of happy creatures effectively communicate the meaning and the domains of each colored chakra.
