Raise to Release: A Missional Mandate for Parents

The Biblical imagery of children as arrows is not the typical view we have of our children. After all, an arrow is an offensive weapon designed to hit and penetrate its intended target. What does the psalmist mean then when he writes that children are "like arrows in the hand of a warrior?" If we parents are indeed warriors, how then do we raise our arrow-children in such a way that they will, through their Gospel-saturated lives, make the most impact for the gospel of Christ?
