This book had me on the first page. How a father can abuse his own child is beyond all understanding. I'm sure Stacey will continue to do wonderful things with her life. I wish her the best of everything going forward.

She did a great job telling her story. I had a tough time putting this book down. It is hard to believe that such terrible things are happening to children.

Truly a moving book! The book is about a young girl who idolizes her father, only to find herself being molested by him at the age of 8 and until she was 18. At that age of 18 and completely abused, destroyed and confused she killed her father. This book follows her life from infanthood to her life sentence in prison and so on. Despite the lable of murderer, you will syphathize with Stacey on many levels. Loved the book. Everyone asked me if it was a good book...I can't say that it was but not as a reflection as how it was written. The content in fact is so horrific and what this little girl went through that the word "good" would be disrespectful. But the book is a must read for sure!

Riveting account of one woman's horrific experience of being repeatedly raped and abused by her own father. Excellent account of her mixed feelings towards both of her parents and how she was able to eventually forgive!

Stacey Lannert's childhood was literally hell on earth. She was the victim of a deranged pedophile who should have been her knight in shining armor. Tom Lannert, Stacey's father, was like a Jekyl and Hyde character. But through all the turmoil and confusion, Stacey found a better way and a better life. This book shares her hardship and frustration along with her determination as a child. Then we read how she finally found her purpose and joy as an adult. This was a book I did not put down until I finished it.

This horror story began when a little girl was 8 and did not end 8until she was 18. Then she began another horror story when she wound up in prison. A remarkable story of forgiveness.

Unbelievable that someone who experienced such abuse could not only overcome it, but give back to society. An utterly amazing story about life and how faith can heal us all.
