When Meg Grant moves to Florida, all she wants is a fresh start and to find the family she never knew.
Ryan Kama wants justice for his murdered brother. And Margot Rhinehart wants to escape her life as a jewel thief.
All three lives collide when Margot goes on the run, and Meg, who looks remarkably like her, ends up being stalked by a host of bad guys.
Her only salvation is Ryan Kama, who doesn’t know what to believe as the woman he thinks helped get his brother killed proclaims her innocence.
Neither one of them expects to fall in love.

About the Author

I started writing as a teenager, plunking my dad's electric typewriter on my bedroom floor and pounding away at it in my jams. I'd just finished reading Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon and found the unhappy ending inspiring. So, naturally, I decided to write romance novels, where the ending is guaranteed to be happy. You can’t imagine how relieved I am that you will never, ever read that first novel, which was edited using scissors and rubber cement. At least the fumes were good.
The day I sold my first novel, which was the second one I wrote (Relative Strangers), I almost hung up on my agent’s assistant, thinking she was a telemarketer. See, I’d given up on getting published and had decided to learn how to play the piano. Apparently, the universe was not impressed by my (in)ability to tickle the ivories.
My second novel, Caught in the Act, was a 2004 Rita finalist in the romantic suspense category. Nora Roberts won that year. She said she was “shocked,” so I must have had her worried.
I've also published three novels with Berkley/Penguin: Cold Midnight, True Vision (first in the Truelogy) and True Colors (second in the Truelogy). True Shot, the third in the Truelogy, comes out in December.
True Vision recently won a Daphne du Maurier award for excellence in mystery/suspense, as well as a HOLT Medallion for best book by a Virginia author.
Besides writing, I love to play tennis and board games and grill out with friends. My guilty pleasures include The Real Housewives of New York, Project Runway and So You Think You Can Dance. I don’t have time to be ashamed.
I have two adorable puddies, Maddy and Allie, and plan to someday have a dog named Boo.

Really enjoyed this book -- characters were real and storyline was excellent. Have read other books by this author and would recommend them as well.

For a first-time novelist, Joyce Lamb has a great command of plot. This is an intricate novel filled with twists and turns that surprise and frighten. Scary -- but the love scenes are well done!

## Come on. The heroine falls for the guy who kidnapped her, tied her up, gagged her, pinned her down and bruised her? The guy who has her arrested, blackmails her and accuses her of killing his brother? The guy who helped get her best friend killed? She begged for him to help her best friend but he refused, blinded by his rage for the heroine. Are you freaking kidding me? That's outlandish, perposterous, ridiculous and pathetic. The only reason I gave this book 2 stars was the suspense. Everything else sucked, including the ending.

I love reading stories written by Joyce Lamb. Her characters have realistic chemistry between them, and the story lines unfold smoothly. She creates books that you just can't put down. I have read three of her books, and I lost myself in each of them.
