I was a complete beginner at spinning when I got this book. I had watched a few videos about using a spindle online, but still had questions and there were things that needed clarification. This book cleared those up and I very soon finished my first skein of handspun. It explains characteristics of spindles and which kinds are good for what, how to spin, and how to finish a skein.
