Overview

In the spring of 1885, Luba Engstrom meets Nicholas Matroona, a strong, brooding Native from the island of Unalaska. About the Author

Bonnie Leon is the author of twenty-one novels, including the recently re-released In the Land of White Nights, the popular Alaskan Skies and best-selling The Journey of Eleven Moons. Bonnie’s books are being read internationally, and she hears from readers in Australia, Europe, and even Africa.

She enjoys speaking for women’s groups, teaching at writing seminars and conventions, and especially delights in mentoring young authors. These days, her time is filled with writing, being a grandmother, and relishing precious time with her aged mother. Bonnie and her husband, Greg, live in southern Oregon. They have three grown children and eight grandchildren.

It has been 20 years since this novel was first published, and it's being re-release now with some revisions to make it more in tune for today's readers. Return to the Misty Shore is a beautiful read with well-defined characters who are sweet, caring and are wondering if there is more to life outside their comfort zones. The descriptions of the landscape are incredible, and one can experience both the emotions and the sounds of the area. Leon is a talented author and did an awesome job.
