About the Author

Mark Thomas has taught law for several years at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the Legal Practice Course (LPC). Mark has published academic textbooks in the field of criminal law and evidence, and has extensive experience in writing revision-style books for law students. He is also the co-author of Revise SQE: Criminal Law and Revise SQE: Criminal Practice, and acts as the MCQ Advisor and Reviewer for the Revise SQE series.

 

Mark Thomas is a practising barrister in criminal law. He has taught law for several years at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the Legal Practice Course. He is also the editor of Revise SQE: Ethics and Professional Conduct and of the two Revise SQE FLK 1 and 2 Practice Assessment books, as well as the co-author of Revise SQE Criminal Law and Revise SQE: Criminal Practice. He acts as the MCQ Advisor and Reviewer across the complete Revise SQE series.

Dr Amy Sixsmith is an Associate Professor in Law and undergraduate LL.B. programme leader at the University of Sunderland. She has taught on undergraduate and postgraduate law courses for 12 years, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She was one of the academic leads involved in transforming the University’s LL.B. programme to comply with the specification of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination, and has taught English Legal System to both law and non-law students.  

Dr David Sixsmith is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University.  He was previously a Senior Lecturer in Law and the programme leader for the Legal Practice Course and postgraduate SQE provision at the University of Sunderland. He is a non-practising solicitor and has previously been a partner at a high street firm. He is heavily involved with developing profession-facing legal education and teaches Dispute Resolution and Wills & Administration of Estates.
