Rachelle Matthews is the 49th Mystic and is tasked in Earth and Other Earth to find all five seals or both worlds as she knows them will end. The problem? The evil Vlad is after her and has crossed into each realm with one intent. To stop her at all costs. He wants evil to reign. Can she race against time and look past her own faults to solve the mystery of the seals before it’s too late? When I finished reading Rise of the Mystics one word popped into my head. WOW. It left me breathless. Ted Dekker’s profound gift of writing and his imagination pierces the soul. This book opens the reader’s mind to reach deep and examine their faith. It did me. It is a thought-provoking end to the Beyond the Circle series and completes the Circle with a bang! The imagery and use of the senses in this book will amaze the reader and put them right on the page into both worlds. The plot has numerous twists that kept me glued, holding my breath until the very end. Each character in this series comes to life on the page and has the reader thinking about them long after they close the book. I loved all the emotions Rachelle goes through on her journey to discover the five seals. They are exactly what we go through in life. Fear, joy, love, anger. I encourage the reader to read all of the books in the Circle first as it will open them up to all of the characters and the worlds the author has created. They each have profound messages. The allegory aspects in this book will blow the reader away. They are crystal clear and will have you pumping your fist, YES! I give Rise of the Mystics five brilliantly lit stars. This book will have you thinking about faith, Jesus, heaven, and much more! Let’s all find The Forgotten Way. **Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and Graf-Martin Communications, Inc. for my honest review.

Incredible Journey....If you have read any of the Circle books, you must follow up with The 49th Mystic and Rise of the Mystics. The journey will change your perception of true sight and what it means to see light in the darkness. Rachelle takes us on her journey of "Diving Deep" to find God's light within us all. It is a mind-bending journey that we must all take in order to have the blindness removed. She takes us through the struggles of what it means to truly love and what it feels like to be loved. I for one hope Ted is not finished with the Circle Books! Enjoy!!!

This is a book that you'll want to lose yourself in, in the best possible way. As a long-time reader of all books Dekker, this book ranks with his best. It wrecked me, and I'm probably going to turn around and read it over again."Rise of the Mystics", along with part One,"The 49th Mystic", put the final bold exclamation point on the Circle books (which I also highly recommend). Dekker's metaphorical and allegorical ability scrapes away the patina of dead religiosity that obscures the scriptures and reveals a power and beauty in the Way that the world has forgotten. These books will captivate your imagination, bring tears to your eyes, transform your understanding, and leave you shouting in joyous worship. Most highly recommend.

The 49th Mystic was the best book I’d read this year, so I was thrilled to read Rise of the Mystics at the end of the summer. It didn’t disappoint. While 49th Mystic moves more quickly, Rise of the Mystics burns slowly with truths we all need to hear and understand. So many things I know, and yet I’d never thought of them like this. I’d never seen them clearly. Rise of the Mystics will take the scales from your eyes and show you what you’ve been missing your whole life. If you haven’t read The 49th Mystic yet, go do it now. And then immediately pick up Rise of the Mystics. You won’t regret it in the slightest. In fact, I think it might turn everything you think you know on its head. I’ll be reading this series again, without a doubt. Won’t you join me?

Rise of the Mystics is a beautiful book that made me think about what is really important. It helped me to gain an understanding of what I had forgotten for so long and to treasure the hope that I have now.

The story picks up right where the first book, The 49th Mystic leaves off; with a review for any who have not read the first book, or it has been a while since they had read it. Rachelle takes you along on her journey of discovery as she searches for the last two of the five seals. The truths she learns about herself, others, and her beliefs on her journey are enlightening. I found myself doing a lot of introspective searching along with Rachelle as she does self-examination. In true Ted Dekker fashion this book makes you think outside the box. I read through Rise of the Mystics twice and learned deeper truths the second time.

Other than reading the Bible, I've never had a book stir me so deeply on a spiritual level until I read Rise of the Mystics and the 49th Mystic. Ted Dekker has an incredible gift of drawing the reader in and not letting go even after the book finishes. The depth of the spiritual truths that he unveils is beyond compare. I will be thinking, mulling, and praying over the new insights that I gained through scripture due to reading this two-book series. I HIGHLY recommend the 49th Mystic and Rise of the Mystics as something all Christians should read. You won't be disappointed. Thank you for these books, Ted. They have touched my life in a deep and profound way. While I was given an advanced copy, it has been my delight and pleasure to read and review the book. I was not required to provide a positive review - 2018.
