I love this series and wish Taylor would write faster...very selfish of me. Easily one of the greatest alternate /sci-fi series ever! I am already looking forward to the next book in the series.

This one reads like a set up for the grand finale, we have no action from the Walker, and very little naval action. Although good in itself, it is no where near as good as the previous books. I have a feeling the next one will be much better.

The title says it all, I totally recommend this series to anyone that loves Alternative History

Good alternate history story. Time for another cross over so the characters can get an update from "original " Earth.

You will enjoy the dynamics of the battles that are fought and the characters that make them happen. Plenty of action!

As good as the rest. The battle of the alternate Earth continues.

A most satisfying latest entry in this long running series. Many questions are posed in this (lucky?) 13th visit to the world of Lemurians, Griks, dauntless allies and vile enemies: Will USS Walker survive after taking an episode off; how far will the Grik evolve (perhaps as far as becoming humane?); what will be the effect of divided Japanese loyalties; how will U-112 figure in the denouement -- jus to name a few. One can see the hand of an alt-verse Samuel Elliot Morrison (see his magnum opus 15-volume "History of the United States Navy In World War Two") hard at work. It is obvious that with Taylor Anderson, Harry Turtledove has a significant challenger for the title of Dean of Alt-Verse authors.
