5 Star Review of Rock Rebel (Nothing But Trouble #3) by Tara Leigh This was my first book by Tara Leigh and I have no idea why that is and I found myself totally invested in Dax and Verity’s story. Dax Hughes is the lead guitarist of Nothing But Trouble (love the name), a bad boy rock star who once upon a time in a previous life was a classical music prodigy. Turning his back on the music of his past, he is doesn’t care what his family or others think, until he meets Verity Moore. Verity Moore is trying to make a comeback after a failed TV show and wants to do what she has always longed to do and that is to sing. The last thing she needs is to become involved with Dax. Both Verity and Dax have secrets which are best left alone. However these two are drawn to each other, through their love of music, even knowing that they should not be. What will happen when their passion ignites? Dax and Verity have pasts that will impact heavily on their current situation. Verity’s issues in particular may trigger reactions in some readers, so please be prepared. Tara Leigh handles these issues with care and compassion and I with impressed with how she wrote this story line. I really loved the chemistry between Dax and Verity and it was great to see their relationship move forward as they embarked on tour. Rock Rebel shows Verity that she is stronger than she knows she is and with Dax’s support she can be strong and successful. I liked that these characters were so realistic, they were easy to relate to and I so wanted both Dax and Verity to get their happily ever after. I enjoyed this book so much that when time permits I will go back and read the previous books in the series.

Once again Tara Leigh has drawn us in to the world of 'Nothing But Trouble' and then kept us desperate for more. Dax and Verity's relationship is full of turns and stumbles but will they get to happy, or will the shoe drop again....

Ok, this is not first book in the series, but it is for me and now I feel that I have to read the previous ones and of course patiently (I hope) wait the next instalments. I'm hooked. I had to read it in almost one sitting! I loved the story and also I liked how the characters had their chemistry, I had a nice laugh, here and there I was irritated but I had to turn pages and read more through those twists. Great book, it clicked perfectly for my winter mood.

I was happy to learn the third book in the Nothing But Trouble series was out because I have enjoyed reading these engaging, feel good, rock star stories. This story is about Dax, a classically trained musician, who is now the lead guitarist for the group, Nothing but Trouble. Dax meets Verity when she is hired to be the group’s opening act. Dax is immediately attracted to Verity, but knows he shouldn’t get involved with anyone he is touring with. Verity is a pop princess with problems trying to claim back her ruined reputation and make a comeback. She is a talented actress and singer but her stage mother has made her life miserable. Verity is trying to take control of her life and break away from her domineering mother. I found it easy to connect with Dax and Verity and I loved the chemistry between them. They have survived in a world where everyone wants to take advantage of them. They are both vulnerable, have been hurt in the past and don’t trust easily. They help each other gain confidence and feel better about themselves and are perfect for each other.

The third member of nothing but trouble falls for the fallen pop princes Verity. The story is parallel with the previous so for those who had not read it, there are spoilers in this one. Dax and Verity have instant connection/attraction but at first, Dax is refusing to have anything with Verity. The time passes and Dax chose to be happy and to let past where it is in the past and start a relationship with Verity. Verity has some ugly past from her own who is messing with her had. Her happiness evaporates when a person from past knocks on the door. The story of Verity is really tragic from her mother and her relationship to all other things that happen in the industry. But it is great to see that she raised above it, a bit later but never the lass and help to raise awareness. I don't know if there will be the last book of the last member ob Nothing but trouble because I didn't like that there was mention of his relationship... but it is not to see. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

I’m just really loving the Nothing but Trouble series! Hot and flawed rock stars, strong and messy women, and just a lot of awesome friendships. Verity was such a powerful character, and I just loved her strength and growth. It can be really hard to accept your past, and move onto a better future, and her character did exactly that. I also appreciate Tara Leigh addressing the #metoo movements impact, and how grey the incidents can be. It’s confusing and troubling, but women are resilient and so very strong. Verity is a wonderful representation of that strength with her own unique situation full of highs and lows. The characters were just so human, and I LOVED that. I’d definitely recommend this series, and I can’t wait for Jett’s story next!

I love Tara Leigh's writing in general! It's the right balance of straight-forward and descriptive, steamy and dramatic, with well-built characters., and Rock Rebel is no different. Verity and Dax are both complex characters with relatable voices. Sure, they're rich and famous, but they're real people, too. Their friendship is believable and their chemistry jumps off the pages. Verity and Dax are easy to 'ship, and their story is made richer by the wealth of secondary characters (whether or not you've met them in other books in this series!) My one (kinda ridiculous) complaint is that there were a few somewhat off-putting metaphors that threw me for the next few pages. They were always perfectly apt and very original, but I just get horribly sidetracked if you compare anything to an abused puppy. Regardless, I recommend this book as well as the Nothing but Trouble series in general. It IS a standalone, but there are some minor "duh" type spoilers based on characters' relationships. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was waiting for Dax and Verity's story for a while, while reading Rock Legend you could tell there was something going on between the two of them and if there wasn't there should have been. Well, there was because this story takes place along side part of that book. Each book in this series can be read as a standalone but I feel you will enjoy each of the stories more if you read them in order, that being said I do not feel that you will be lost if you do not read the first two books in the series. If you don't know the meaning behind the word Verity, here it is: TRUTH! ver·i·ty /ˈverədē/ noun a true principle or belief, especially one of fundamental importance. "the eternal verities" truth. "irrefutable, objective verity" Verity's truth is a hard one so please be aware if you have triggers, her truth follows along the lines of the #METOO movement and it might be hard for some to read about. Dax and Verity are perfect for one another but please don't think it was an easy road for them because it really wasn't there was a lot going on but this is a spoiler free review so you'll just have to read the book to find out what happens. Just know that there is an HEA at the end of it all. While I have enjoyed and even loved the other two books in the Nothing But Trouble Series, Rock Rebel is my favorite. I love a good book boyfriend which Dax is but Verity is one strong, kicka$$ woman that really made the book for me. If you have been abused, or know someone who has, I know it's not an easy choice whether you choose to stay silent or come out the choice is always a difficult one - just know there is help out there. Your local place or worship, a police station, the hospital, the community center, there are even places online that can help even if you don't want to turn the person in, just to have someone to talk to about it can help a lot. Be Safe, Be Well, Be Loved. Happy Reading!!! **I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**

4.5 Stars Rock Rebel was not your traditional rock star romance and I really loved the story that Tara Leigh delivers to bring Dax and Verity together. Verity Moore was everything I love in a heroine. She is strong and determined; she knows the value of family, but she also knows that sometimes tough love is the only kind that can work; she has been knocked down but she isn’t afraid to get up and try again; and she us determined to make the best choices for herself, not the ones to please others. Dax Hughes is so much more than a rock star. He’s been burned bad in love and he’s determined not to make the same mistakes again – mistakes that he still hasn’t cleaned up, but until he meets Verity he’s never had the motivation to set his life straight. He’s strong yet sensitive and even though he fights his feelings for Verity once he finds out who she is, once he’s in he’s committed. Dax and Verity were a great couple. Their chemistry was instantaneous, but I loved the way their relationship took more time to develop into anything real. There was such a great push and pull between these two, which sometimes doesn’t work for me, but knowing what Verity needed to do and realizing that Dax needed to come to terms with his own issues, having these two orbit around each other before finally giving in to each other made sense. There is some real sensitive content addressed, and I appreciated how the author was able to tell Verity’s story in a way to make her even stronger and not be a victim. And I was right there with Dax , standing with Verity as she faced her past…even knowing that Dax was also staring at a part of his. This is my first book from this author and I enjoyed her writing style and dialogue. And even though this is book 3 in the series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. The extended band/friend group helped tell Dax and Verity’s story, and I need to go back and read the first two books to see what I missed. This is definitely a book that should appeal to anyone, rock star lover or not. The only caution would be the potential trigger found in Verity’s past, but again, the author does a wonderful job telling her story to portray strength and not victimization – well done Tara Leigh!

A disgraced pop princess cleans up her act while navigating the treacherous Hollywood scene. Verity Moore is ready to take her career into her own hands in the third Nothing But Trouble novel from Tara Leigh. Verity teams up with Travis Taggert to restore her reputation. He places her on tour with the popular band, Nothing But Trouble, but to Dax Hughes her presence could be the end of everything he's worked for. Both Verity and Dax are keeping secrets. Verity's dark secrets could bring an end to her newly restored career and Dax's secrets could be the end of their newfound relationship. I love how this story sheds light on their dark pasts and helps them heal through the powers of love, friendship and music. The pacing is just right. It takes us quickly into Verity's background and whirlwind romance with Dax, but the story doesn't feel rushed. Rock Rebel dives in and addresses a serious issue without making light or brushing it under the rug. Verity's story is realistic and even if someone reading this story isn't in the same position as Verity, it leaves readers with a positive vibe. *ARC provided in consideration for review*

This book was raw, intense, and so good. I’m giving this 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion. I’ve enjoyed this series immensely, and each book was a little intense/dark sometimes, but this one felt more intense for me; I think it was because of its social relevance in today’s society. This might trigger some people, so I’m giving you a warning that there was quite a big focus on the #metoo movement, and leave it at that. We saw both of these characters in previous books, but only for small amounts from what I remember. Even though Dax is part of Nothing But Trouble, he kept to himself, so we didn’t know a lot about him before getting inside his head. I loved the dual POV in this one, and I think Dax might be my favorite guy from the band, but I’m not sure. Verity…all I can say is wow about her. I adored her character, and I really loved these two together. Yes to #Daxity! I enjoyed getting to see the NBT family we’ve come to know and love in the previous book. This book was too intense for me to binge read, but regardless of that, it was great. The last member of the band is Jett, but I don’t think he will be getting a book of his own. I would love to read about him though! Can we make it happen Tara?!?

I haven’t read yet the rest of the series, but this book got me intrigued and now I will be reading the rest. Dax is amazing, Verity being a pop princess is a cherry on top for the story being his equal more than the damsel in distress we are usually reading on this type of books, to make it better they are both attracted but shy to get together due to their pasts, making the story believable and emotional. Love it and so I am giving it a five star plus I am getting the rest of the books in the series.

I was given an arc in exchange for my honest review. This is the third book in the series of Nothing But Trouble and also the last. Verity Moore is trying hard to restart her career but not as an actress but as a singer. But she knows that it won’t be easy because she was a child actor who’s show was canceled two years ago. Dax Hughes is the guitarist for “Nothing But Trouble”, but he was also part of Classic Hughes before he left for California. Verity is trying to forget her past and focus on her own life and what’s to come of her relationship with Dax. Secrets and lies will come and could tear them down or make them stronger to overcome what comes.

Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh is a rock star contemporary romance. But it's NOT just another rock star romance. Let me start by saying, I'm old. Rock star romances aren't the first thing I grab to read. This book is also written in first person, alternating point of view format, my least favorite. That being said, I have to be honest, Ms. Leigh makes it work. Rock Rebel is a well-written book with an outstanding cast of characters. Dax is a star rocker. Verity is a child star done wrong has been, looking for a music career comeback. Dax and Verity's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and the angst is kept at a level that adds to the story instead of overdosing readers so they want to gag. I enjoyed reading Rock Rebel and would happily read more from Tara Leigh in the future. Rock Rebel is book 2 in the Nothing But Trouble Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have loved all the guys from the Nothing But Trouble series but i think Dax is by far my fav. Seeing how he has to overcome the path that he was “suppose” to take and become his own person is awesome. Seeing Verity get over her past helps to see her as a strong woman. I loved the push and pull these two characters had. It’s definitely a must read. 5 star rating all the way. I absolutely loved seeing past loved characters in this book. It’s like a where are they now catch up with those characters.

WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Dax and Verity’s story in Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh, book three in her Nothing But Trouble series. Ms. Leigh created a wonderful and emotional story between two people forced by their parents and their amazing talents to grow up quickly. Dax was a classical music prodigy before leaving his family and Julliard to become the lead guitarist for Nothing but Trouble; becoming a rebel. Verity has the voice of an angel and forced to pursue the life her mother wanted in Hollywood. Unfortunately for Verity, and possibly with her manager/mother’s knowledge, she became a victim to the demands and sexual overtones of the men that controlled which female was cast for roles. #MeToo. Verity returned to Hollywood hoping to get a second chance with her singing career. She signed with Mick, the same manager/agent for Nothing but Trouble, severing ties with the career her mother planned for her and stopping her mother from controlling her and her money. Verity was to be the opening act for Nothing but Trouble, travelling with them on tour. Dax believed he was an outcast, a misfit, a rebel, not caring what others thought. He was determined to keep secrets from his past secret and hidden from others; including Verity. Dax suspected she too had a scandalous past. Beginning with the moment Dax met Verity he sensed her past, her fears, her dreams, who she really was. He actually wrote a song describing all of that rebellion and need that Verity ended up singing it as a duet with Dax. These two had off the chart chemistry; that only grew as they spent time together. Before Dax and Verity can nurture a healthy and strong relationship they both must confront their skeletons and secrets; even if a connection or common person exists that has to be dealt with. Both Dax and Verity quickly learn they were mistaken about some of the truths they had believed. I loved how strong Verity became in dealing with and outing the demons in her past and how Dax was there to support her. I also admired how Dax understood that Verity had to come to terms with her hurts, her past on her own terms and not on his schedule. #MeToo Ms. Leigh wrote an emotional and moving story filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I highly recommend Rock Rebel to other readers and really looking forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh, a great addition in the Nothing But Trouble series (this is book 3). I like the characters and the plot pulls you in from the first page. Enjoyable rock band storyline, with just enough romance. I look forward to reading more in this series and more by author.

I have a new rock star addiction and I am not afraid to admit that I am a Nothing But Trouble groupie. Dax has an unexpected past. It was refreshing and stunning. Then there was the heartbreak of it that tugs on your heart strings! Verity broke me into pieces with her vulnerability. Now in the present, Verity and Dax rekindle their chemistry and they cannot help but fall for each other. There are so many obstacles and a few more pages you will be gasping about. The emotions will all be there! I love Tara Leigh's rock start series!! I will forever be fan girling!

Exquisite Rock Romance! Brilliant, beautiful, emotional, and surprising. You will simply love it. I devoured Rock Rebel in one day despite, trying to read slow, I just couldn’t stop turning the pages. This book was addicting, just so, damn fantastic that I didn’t want it to end. Definitely the best of the series so far. Everything about this storyline and the characters captivated me. Dax Hughes and Verity Moore are exhilarating and exciting together. Their personalities, their struggles, their scorching chemistry, their my my! I was a goner, lost in their world of delicious, irresistible energy exchange that was impossible to leave, charmed beyond words. Tara Leigh exquisite ability at storytelling transforms a great Love Story to one that enraptures readers with it’s emotion, conviction and vitality. Beautifully penned this book is a insta-must read, and one you won’t be able to put down or forget. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. This is a story of a bad boy rock star and a woman who was stronger than she thought. Dax is the bad boy rock star who left his classical music behind in New York while chasing the woman he thought he loved to LA. That is when he became the guitarist for the rock band Nothing But Trouble. It just so happened that the woman he wanted didn’t want him. After this relationship he wanted nothing serious to do with anyone because his heart had been broken beyond repair. Dax put everything into his band and they made it to the top of their game. Verity was the child star that lived under her momanger and now was ready to break away and try her shot at music which is what she loved to do. The problem was she was still dealing with everything that happened to her while working under her mother. Her mother pushed her to do whatever it took to get the parts which lead her to fame and fortune on a TV show. Now her new career is beginning to take off. Personally, Dax is sending mixed messages to Verity but when she stumbles onto one of his songs things only heat up more for these two. I love the chemistry between Dax and Verity and with them both heading out on tour things were only going to get better. Verity was also ready to embark on another life changing moment in her life. This is a story of a bad boy rock star and a woman who was stronger than she thought.

Book 3 in the Nothing But Trouble Series but I do beleive you could read this as a stand-alone although I’m sure you will want to go back and read the previous books in this great rock series. Verity Moore is a pop princess and Dax Hughes is a rock star with a secret, he is the lead guitarist with Nothing But Trouble and she is the new opening act for the tour they are about to embark on. Rock gods don’t tour with pop princesses. Verity may be a very talented pop star but she has fallen under the diva reputation and that means proving she is a worthy opening act, problem is there is an instant attraction between the fiery redhead and the swoon worthy rock god will either of them open up and spill the truth about their pasts and the secrets they are hiding......... guess you need to read the book to find that out. I love all of the boys from Nothing But Trouble but Dax really chiseled away at my heart he tugged on every heart string as I read his story and what can I say about Verity apart from she is not what she seems underneath the pop princess is a sweet loveable woman who needs to be loved and who is perfect for Dax. The banter was witty and perfect ,the chemistry sizzling and together these two make great music . Tara Leigh has given us a beautifully written love story that captivated me and I’m sure if you give this book a chance you will fall in love with the rock gods of Nothing But Trouble. Looking forward to more from this great series

I’m not one that generally falls for rocker books but there’s been a few! Rock Rebel is a fantastic story! I seriously adored Verity Moore. She reminds me so much of myself as a teenager. I remember going hog wild with a bit of freedom. This is what happens for Verity. She’s been managed for years by her mom. Her mom has some short reigns on her. Now here we are, of age, and Verity is ready for a taste of freedom. She makes some mistake and has some good ol’ wild times. Now she’s on track… she’s getting her life back together… she’s ready to sign and have a manager that only manages her career, not her life. Dax Hughes is fabulous! He’s totally a strong character. A child prodigy who’s the lead guitarist for a major band, Nothing But Trouble. Dax had his heart broken and so closed that part of himself off. He doesn’t love. He doesn’t trust. He doesn’t date women in the music industry. But… there’s Verity. Young and vibrant with insane chemistry. I fell head over heels watching Dax fall! Tara Leigh shows us what it’s like to fall in love when you have closed yourself off… what it’s like to learn to trust and to open up again. Verity and Dax are like apples and cinnamon… fantastic and beautiful together but everything goes to another level when they combine. Leigh’s writing flows. It’s beautiful and warmed my heart. The steady build up of the story and the relationship. The sexual tension between these two was vibrant… was strong… real. I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

Rock Rebel was an okay read for me. This book was enjoyed by so many others that I was excited to read it even though the first in this series okay for me. I thought I'd give this one and this author another try but once again, it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It had potential but I thought it fell flat. One thing about this story that bothers me is the insta-lust with the characters. I enjoy characters that although they have chemistry, there's more than just wanting to rip each other's clothes off. I would have liked to have felt more of a connection between Dax and Verity. Another thing, is that I find the flow of this story too slow for my liking. Yes, this story deals with important issues that I thought were well written but it wasn't enough. This story wasn't a bad read but it is a one time read for me.

I loved the first two books in the Nothing But Trouble series but this one is my favorite by far. Dax and Verity's story is filled with emotion, passion, and a wonderful slow build romance. They each have flaws and pasts they can't outrun. The one thing they have in common is the love of music. Dax got his restart after dropping out of Juilliard. Now Verity's looking for hers. Will Dax help her along the way? This story will pull you in right from the beginning and keep you spellbound all the way through. Definitely a book and series I recommend.

Dax Hughes -- classical music prodigy/Rock royalty Verity Moore -- disgraced pop princess, looking for a way to make a comeback Dax left his family and their classical music group to chasing love. When that didn’t pan out, he wound up in a bar listening to a rock band and discovered Shane, Landon and Jett. They formed Nothing But Trouble and set out to conquer the world. Verity was pushed into the spotlight by her stage-mother. Most of Verity’s experiences were abusive. She escapes the people controlling her and sets out to create a career for herself. Dax can see that Verity has been abused even though she never tells him about her experiences. Dax anonymously writes her the perfect song and they manage to record it together. The couple works through his distrust of all women (after being jilted) and her determination to take charge of her life and career. Dax manages to reunite with his family and inadvertently rescue his younger sister from a potentially abusive relationship. I picture Dax and Verity making beautiful music together. I loved the way Verity bonded with Delaney and Piper from Books 1 & 2. In addition to romance, girls need their BFFs. There was one issue in the Epilogue where I was confused as to someone getting a plea deal or a prison sentence, maybe because this read was an ARC provided by NetGalley for review. I look forward to what I believe will be Quinn and Jett’s story. Props to a hero who is able to hunt down the grandparents champagne flutes that were sold at an estate sale over 10 years ago. That act was enough to make Dax one of my favorite heroes. 4 Stars The book was provided by NetGalley for an honest review.
