Very pleasantly surprised by this book. Well written, reasonably informative about the lifestyle, and seemed sincere (as opposed to Tyler's Voice in My Head book which draws inevitable comparisons. The primary reason I did not give it five stars is the voluminous guitar data at the end...it was superfluous to a non-musician.

The book is well written and extremely enjoyable. Anyone who is an Aerosmith fan as well as a fan of Rock and Roll music in general will enjoy reading this book. Joe Perry is very good at telling his side of the Aerosmith story and his journey through the world of rock and roll also. He has a lot of insight into his relationship with his band as well as the people who were part of the Aerosmith camp and his friendships with other rockers and his relationships with other members of the Aerosmith inner circle. It is interesting to hear his side of the story as well as to read Steven Tyler's version of the story.

A much more coherent and more enjoyable read, than Steven Tyler's
disjointed biography.
Joe Perry covers it all, the massive highs (literally), the soul-sucking lows.
the spilled milk, and the vastly under rated Joe Perry Project (spawned from
the ashes of the big Aerosmith break-up), and lightning striking twice with
Aerosmith' rebirth.
Perry seems to be a pretty resielent and level headed, humble man, despite
massive success.
I truly enjoyed this book!

I liked this book, Joe is kind to the people he talks about even though he is truthful he comes across as not judging others.
I almost didn't buy & read this because I started with reading the forward by Johnny Depp. That was inane and fatious. What a looser. Joe on the other hand was down to Earth and didn't project ego issues. Glad I quit reading the assinine forward and skipped ahead to the book.
